I finally decided to join you guys and post a regular log of my girth sessions and progress (I hope). I'm a notorious hardgainer who has been in search of increased girth for years. I've tried pumping (too noisy and messed with my erections from time to time), squeezes (no permanent impact), jelqing (gained about 3/4" in length but no girth), and now I'm giving clamping a go at it. I'm currently 9" bpel by 5.5" girth (about 6" at the base). I'd been on PE hiatus for about a year before beginning my clamping regimen on October 4, 2004.
I've attached two measurement pix of my current girth (length measurement shots can be viewed by going to the "picture proof" link in my signature), one showing base girth, the other around the shaft. I'm cool with my length at the moment, but would like to add 1/2" in girth to get to 6" all along the shaft and about 6 1/2" at the base.
My current routine is Sun/Mon/Wed/Fri, 10 min continuous clamping reps x 2, for a total of 20 minutes. I had been doing slightly more, but Redzulu (the resident clamping guru) suggested that I cut back to 20 minutes total as a newbie. I plan to increase to 30 minutes after two weeks. I warm up with a moist heat wrap and apply it continously throughout my clamping, as well as for about 30 minutes for a warm down.
I will post details about each PE session in this log, as well as periodic measurements and pix. I welcome any comments and/or tips.

Todays routine:
Warm up: 15 min warm wrap
Clamping: 10 minutes (with warm wrap) x 2; light jelquing for 3 mintues between sets
Edging: 30 min (no ejaculation, just lots of precum, lol)
Warm down: 30 min warm wrap

Impressive length, just a question, do you measure along the length (i.e. along the side of penis, curving the ruler tape) or keeping the ruler pointing straight out from the pelvis ?
Just curious, as I have a similar kind of curve.

I use a ruler and straighten out the curve, measuring directly out from the pelvis.

That flaccid pic is killer. Your routine sounds good - it's a great idea to take a break every 10 minutes or so when you clamp... even for vets. And do you do any exercises while you clamp or just clamping for now?
I know some guys go for preposterous size goals, but you look like you could actually do it. Do you want a 9x6 or so, or would you be interested in shooting for like a 10x6.5? I think you can get there, especially since you are within 1x1 and you are just stepping into some of the more advanced manuevers.

Because I'm so focussed on girth, I have toyed around with the idea of trying pumping again, particularly since guys swear by it on the girth front. That said, I had an electric CTC pump before and the damn thing just made too much noise. I had a hand pump years before that, but it didn't have a pressure gauge and I think I was using too much pressure. My dick got all bloated, etc. and I never experienced any real girth gains. I'd be interested to hear about your pumping approach -- type of pump; amount of time; how you mix it in with clamping, etc.
As for my goals, 10 x 6.5 would be cool and, I think, attainable for me. Well, on second thought, I'm pretty sure if I really worked at it I could get the extra inch of length, but I'm still not exactly a believer about adding an inch of girth since I've been trying unsuccessfully at it for so long. So in true bodybuilder fashion (focus on one lagging bodypart at a time), I've cut back on stretches and other lengthening activity that I had tried in the past. Once I get to that thus far elusive 6" girth mark, then I'll consider the length thing again.

Of course, Zulu! You're the clamping guru! Tomorrow, I'm also gonna incorporate alternating cold and heat between clamps, as you suggested. I just read a thread about the potential value of cooling down in an elongated or engorged state. Do you have any thoughts on this theory?

This morning's routine:
10 min warm wrap
10 min clamp, periodic warm wrap
10 min light massage/jelq, alternating warm wrap and dipping in ice water
10 min clamp, periodic warm wrap
10 warm down, alternating warm wrap and dipping in ice water
light massage
So-so workout this morning. I played around with a cockring for about 1 1/2 hours late last night after reading 9cyclops9's post about the engorgement he got from passively wearing one most of the day. Problem is the cockring made me so conscious of my dick that I got a little carried away with edging and...well, let's just say I drained the reservoir, lol. So although I woke up last night a few times with wood, I wasn't really feeling it this morning, despite the rest day yesterday. I had to readjust the clamps several times throughout the session to keep things stiff. I guess the unit was a little worn out from it all. It was even more of a challenge b/c I had little privacy and couldn't really incorporate porn into the session to keep myself motivated. In the end, I got okay expansion, but nothing approaching what I got during my last session (see above). So I think I'll keep my hands in my pockets today and, hopefully, I'll have a better session tomorrow morning. (Unless, of course, I have to service the wife tonight.)
NOTE: I followed Redzulu's advice and worked cold dips into my warm wrap cool down. I was skeptical at first b/c it seems counter-intuitive. I mean, we're trying to engorge and cold usually leads to shrinkage. Nonetheless, it felt really good. Things didn't shrink up as much as I thought they would. And the warm wrap got everything flowing again. Theory has it that cold dipping during maximum engorgement/length may help to eventually cement the gain at normal temperatures, while the heat makes tissue more elastic for stretching/expansion in the first place. I guess we'll see. I'll give this a shot for a few weeks and report back.

Ok, I kept my hands to myself and didn't end up doing the wife last night. Resulted in a decent PE session this morning. Nice engorgement. I woke up to a real stiff one, but the size was closer to normal than it had been after the past few PE sessions. Perhaps it was b/c yesterday's session was subpar. Or maybe my dick is just getting used to all of the stress?

You caught me, man, lol. I think the PJ contributed to some of my length gains. I use it primarily as a warm up to clamping now and sometimes between clamping sets. I haven't had much success with girth despite trying a number of techniques. Hopefully clamping will be the ticket for me on the girth front.

Great girth session this morning! Good engorgement. Incredible rigidity! Kind of surprised me because I woke up feeling it, despite the fact that the wife and I had a pretty intense romp under the sheets last night. I followed Redzulu's advice and nixed the ice water dipping in place of just cool tap water. The ice water may have been working too much against the engorgement. I finished things off by slipping on a 1 3/4" aluminum cockring that I've had packed away for years. Following 9cyclops9's lead, I'll see if I can keep most of the engorgement throughout the day. It's the 1-month mark for me since resuming girth work after a year hiatus. I feel slightly thicker, though I'm not sure how much is just do to residual swelling or engorgement. I don't dare measure. But as my dick is somewhat tapered -- smaller head and thicker at base (about 6") -- I can sometimes force the proverbial toilet paper roll partially down my shaft (it usually gets stuck about the point where my dick starts to curve slightly to the left). For the last week or so, however, I've been unable to get the roll past the first inch or so of my shaft, even after a couple of rest days. Real growth or temporary engorgement gains? Time will tell, I suppose.
I'll report back.

I bought a 1 1/2" cockring yesterday on the advice of Stillwantmore and 9cyclops9. But I'm not ready to wear anything that tight yet, particularly out of the house, lol. So today I'm gonna continue experimenting with my 1 3/4" cockring. BTW, I kegel everyday, even on rest days. Typically 100 quick reps, followed by 50 @ 5 secs, and 1 minute hold.

I don't really pay attention to flaccid stats because they vary so much depending on temperature, etc. But if it's around 70 degrees or so and I haven't just worked out and/or I'm not nervous, I hang about 6" to 6 1/2."
I've never tried to measure my flaccid girth.

Wore cockring all day again yesterday, from about noon to midnight. Periodic hardons all day. Hung much fuller all day and had serious morning wood. Will take the pumping plunge tomorrow by replacing the second clamping rep with a 10-minute low pressure pump.

How is the Power Jelq device different from a home canning jar lifter? They look about the same, although it does look like the Power Jelq device has padding on the rollers. I'm curious, because I went out and bought a jar lifter for about $6 at the local hardware store. I only tried it out a couple of times because it was some pain associated. The compression seemed to irritate my urethra. This could be due to the fact that the jar lifter has no padding on the rollers. What do you think?

Good session today. Man, is it hard not to give in to the urge to nut!! But I managed, lol. I made the mistake of measuring this morning. Woke up with a pretty intense hardon. But the ruler showed that I haven't gained anything in length, still the same 9." Of course, I've been focusing on girth, but I've heard that some guys have gained length from their clamping routines. I guess I'm not so lucky -- at least not yet. I won't measure cold girth until the end of my three month cycle. I'm almost half way in. I don't want to get prematurely discouraged.

Another great workout this morning. I finally measured while clamped and found that my temporary expansion is between .25" and .30." Despite some good PE sessions lately, and despite the fact that I haven't made that many changes to my routine, all of a sudden it's as if my dick is just worn out. I woke up this morning and just wasn't feeling it. Could hardly stroke myself to a hardon. I eventually did, but it just wasn't its usual hard self. Don't remember waking up in the middle of the night with wood, either. Maybe it's just stress. A lot of people have reported spectacular gains after taking a long hiatus, so it might be the ticket for you. Listen to your body and rest when you need it.
Also, I believe you have said before that you are pretty health conscious(i.e. - no performance enhancing drugs for weightlifting,etc.) and are "all-natural." Does that preclude you from trying cialis/viagra? I am a vegetarian, weightlifter and haven't taken any supplements besides creatine(tried for the first time a couple of months ago). However, I'm seriously thinking about trying viagra and cialis for both PE workouts and my psychological problem sustaining an erection when measuring girth. As soon as that tape hits my penis - bloopy - it goes flaccid. Crazy, funny and frustrating.

The jelqs should help your circulation, are stimulating and should not be intense enough to violate your "rest." Or, you could just go a few days and not do ANY PE exercises. Well, I've been talking with AlloyCG about going in together on some Viagra and Cialis. Apart from that - I've never tried it. I lift weights 6days/week, am a (lacto-ovo) vegetarian and try to eat organic produce. I don't really use any supplements, unless you count the whey protein that I take after workouts. I have also tried creatine and will be starting up again tomorrow after having taken a 1month drying out phase. I drink the protein shakes for convenience. I feel reasonably safe trying the creatine since it is a naturally occuring and bodily produced substance. No negative side effects from that so far.
From some of the logs, I think that you have a valid concern about becoming dependent upon Viagra or Cialis in your workouts. Cialis seems to be a better choice because its effects abate over several days. Some of the people in the forums have said that they feel less dependent using Cialis, as well as using less of the substance. Since everyone reacts differently to medications, it's a guess which one would work best for you. I personally share your concerns, but would like to try both V and C to see if there is any benefit. Recently, I've found that I get better erections if I just "nut" once a couple of days. Previously, I had abstained from any and all nutting except during sex with my wife (which is pretty infrequent) because I thought that nutting would have a detrimental effect on my PE progress.
On a different note, I just got back from a 5 day rest and my penis is 1/8" BPEL longer today (Now at 6.5" BPEL). I did not touch my penis during those rest days except to hold it while pissing (and bathing). Just goes to show that rest can help PE gains.

20 min warm wrap
Last PE session was Wednesday night. Missed yesterday's routine, so I decided to throw in a half-ass couple of sets tonight. Not bad, considering how tired I was (rough week). Hopefully I'll get back on track Monday.

10 min clamping, kegel 1 10-sec bend
6 min, cool water dip, 10 10-sec squeezes, light jelq
10 min clamping, kegel, warm wrap
8 min, cool water dip, warm wrap, light jelq, edging
10 min clamping, warm wrap, cool water dip
6 min edging
30 min 1.5" cockring, warm wrap
Got back into my regular routine this morning after a few disruptions last week. See above. Not bad. Ball pumping first really intensifies the feelings throughout the clamping. Really wanted to nut bad, but managed to control it.
I've attached a post-clamping pic below. Compare this overhead shot to some of my earlier ones. Progress? The jury's still out. But I'll be measuring in about three weeks!

Pretty good session today. Allowed myself to cum after edging session at end. Put on 1.5" cockring and warm wrap for 30 min after session.

I'm in the same boat as you, Brian. Family obligations and interference/interruptions can certainly cause unwanted modifications to our routines. Went to the gym and did PE yesterday (it was a rest day) because we are spending the day at my in-laws today. I've also been guilty of leaving out warm-ups/cool-downs recently, due in part to the crazy pre-holiday preparations/schedule. It's only a problem if it becomes a fixed habit (not warming up/cooling down) - so don't worry about it. Things should settle down for everyone after Jan 1st.
I'm proud of you for keeping up the routine in spite of constant interruptions. Way to go! Your consistency and perseverance will pay off in the long run for sure.

You're welcome, Brian. I get very irritable when my daily/weekly routines get out of whack too. It CAN be very stressful from an emotional/mental standpoint when we have to change our schedules unexpectedly. Some people do well with a lot of change - but apparently we are not those people.

I guess the thing to do, Brian, is to plan to have our schedules disrupted for the next two weeks and perhaps scale down our workouts in preparation for that period. Then our expectations might match what actually happens during that time. Hahah.
Just remember that you got to where you are now, hypertrophy-wise and PE-wise, by being strong-willed, persistent and consistent. Those personality traits will still be there for you and reassert themselves after the temporary "crazy" time is past.
I just had a thought. You might even want to make a large part of the holidays your "deconditioning" time that you were discussing in Zululand. You could take a lot of stress off yourself by taking a "planned" 7 days off. It could work out even better if the rest period coincided with when you experience the most workout-interference during the holidays.
