I have done two pumping sessions so far. Every other day I do manual girth workout (Slow Squash Jelq) and then pumping. 20 minutes manual workout followed by 10 minutes with combined large cylinder at only 5 psi, rest, and then 10 minutes with 2" cylinder at 5-7 psi and then hot shower. I got swollen (puffy) midshaft afterwards, but it felt great seeing a little puffyness. Directions say use heat pad, back off psi, etc. But I would think a little puffyness as long as there is no pain, is no erection problem, would mean a good workout? Pumpers Please advise. Thanks

puffyness = fluid build up which isnt a sign of gains so not beneficial. Although I dont pump yet personally, just make sure you have a 100% erection during the pump session to help aleviate this. Im sure the pumpers can advise better. By the way which pump do you have and what did you pay?

I got the Dr. Joels with gauge at www.jnoutlet.com It was by far the cheapest gauge pump I found with the second cylinder. You can tell it is cheaper because the pump is plastic. However, I don't plan on pumping it hard.

Ahh, slight misinformation here. While fluid buildup isn't really a "gain" and doesn't count as "expansion", it isn't a sign that you aren't making gains. I have chronic fluid buildup syndrome, it happens after EVERY session, but I can minimize it well.

why is fluid build up after pumping a bad thing?

It's unattractive and unappealing for the way it looks and feels.

It is also thought to weaken the area under your glans and make it more and more prone to fluid build up.
