I'm not going to quote a large article here or belabor the point unnecessarily. I'm just a little concerned about the anti-circ movement being demonized. The stance of the pro-circ crowd seems to be that "Intactivists" should keep it down and not make anybody feel bad about their penises, that ignorance is preferable to a bruised ego.
My personal belief is that circumcision is an act of genital mutilation. I realize that not all people agree with me on that, but I am sure that most would concede that the very act of cutting off a peice of someone's penis must cause some damage. Common sense also tells us that accidents happen, and that not every circumcision is perfectly executed, and there exists in medical literature terms for some of the more easily recognizable circumcision errors: webbed scrotum, trapped penis, etc.
Regardless, I know that hearing about the "horrors of circumcision" can hurt a male's perception of his body, so I am going to try to be more positive about the benefits of FR and less strident about the evils of circumcision. I don't want anyone to hate their body, and if I have caused anyone to feel that way because of my passionate beliefs, I apologize. I do not want anyone to hate their penis. I don't hate mine. I only want to educate men about circumcision and its possible negative side-effects and the benefits of restoration. Love your penises, guys, regardless of its cut/uncut status. It is a beautiful, powerful and sexy thing. If you feel like you have been damaged by circumcision or would like to enhance the quality of your sex life, I will be happy to share my knowledge of skin expansion techniques and my own personal experiences restoring.
There is a very dark side to circumcision, but maybe we uncut advocates should quit dwelling in the dark, shaking our fists, quite so much.
From now on, my motto shall be "Make it Better", not "Fix It!"
