When you get her in the doggy position, have her lay her head down on the bed so only her ass is in the air. That should allow you to get better/max penetration. I love this position but it hurts my wife so i gotta go real easy for a long time and not go in all the way before she gets used to it. If you want to make it tighter, have her put her legs together and put your legs outside of hers.

I just hit 6" but I was around 5.5" when I last tried doggy and it was difficult. Not as bad as previous attempts. When you don't have any length to spare, your partner has to be on the same page as you.
