2.5-3" is about normal for most women when they are not aroused. It pulls up a little further as they get aroused. Most of the nerve ending in the vagina are located in the first 2 inches or so... so reardless of whether you hit her cervix or not, you should still be able to please her. Not all women like deep penetration...

The g-spot is only about a 1-1.5" in, not 2-3"... it also doesn't swell up into a hump on most women. It is typically a smooth area on the top side of the vulva. The Cervix IS ~2.5-3" in toward the back end of the canal. Check it out on your girl...

In a resting state, vaginas average 3 inches deep. The cervix sits almost at the end of the vagina, on the top or front, with a small pouch of vagina, the fornix or cul-de-sac (CDS), right behind it. I'd also recommend reading that ENTIRE site though. There's a LOT more info on female sexual anatomy, AND some EXCELLENT info on the most sensitive areas of her vagina and how to stimulate them.
I'd call that site one of my fav "must read" as it has several pages devoted exclusively toward the anatomical location of the pleasure zones. It's a great place to learn the basics for anyone serious about their lady's satisfaction.
