I finally bought a cylinder and pump w/ PSI gauge from LA pump. I'm freakin' stoked. I am wondering about jelqing in between sets. Do you jelq immediately out of the cylinder, or do you let the erection subside a bit and then jelq?
I'm going to start out with 1-2 sets at 5-10 minutes with 2-300 jelqs in between sets. How does this sound?

Your routine sounds good to start with. Try to keep pressure between 5 and 7. I think I usually was around 7. I would usually jelq right out of the cylinder. I am curious to see how you like pumping.

Delph, I've heard to start between 3-5hg and go up to about 7 at max. Of course that depends on fluuid buildup etc etc. I'm curious to see how I like pumping as well, especially considering working length and girth at the same time. The only point of concern I have is the fluid buildup problems that I have when clamping, and if it will be similar to pumping even at low hg. Should be interesting.

I would not jelq between sets. What you need is for your circulation to bet back. Slap it and work it but if you jelq you are going to put down that growth that you got in pumping. You will have to see what you do. Remember to keep the pressure low. You might be tempted to go to 8-10 pounds but stay under 4 or 5. GS

Personally I found pumping to be slightly worse with the fluid buildup than clamping. Although, with clamping my fluid situation is strange. I will go through periods of time when fluid is really bad, and sometimes not hardly any at all. One thing I really liked about pumping is that it doesn't take much effort, its great lazy PE.

Good sound pumping advice there GS.
I would like to add that instead of jelqing or slaping you pee pee around between sets, go ahead and edge to full erection, when your getting close to busting a nut go back into the pump at around 5hg and maintain your erection. I treat pumping very much like I do sex. I gotta be at full erection or it just does not feel like a have done a good job. Now when I pump which is 2 to 3 times a week, I do 3 sets at 15 min at 5hg on the dot. Between sets I edge for like 5 mins or so. As I'm about to bust I go into the pump again at 5hg, repeat. At the last set sometimes I end up busting out some squezzes and other manual girth tricks!
After all is done I slip on a cock ring and go about my day.

If jelqing between sets is a bad idea for erection quality, then why is it recommended by the guys who used pumping as their sole PE? I've learned most of what I know about pumping from Avocet8 and PEforeal over at T's place, and they both say to do some sort of manual between sets. Starting with jelqing and moving into squeezes and possibly clamping between sets. It is noted that most guys who gain from pumping only used jelqs in between sets, as this seems to "solidify" their gains from pumping. Jelqing fresh out of the tube, at least for me, would seem to be more of a massage of the chambers similar to what GS recommended, simply because at higher erection percentage there's less movement from the shaft when I jelq so I imagine this being the case.
I will be keeping records of sets in the pump, total time, and total number of jelqs between sets. From what I understand when doing the jelqs you do no more than 300 at the upper limit and usually around 100-200 is more like it, so there's not too much to that as far as overdoing it goes. I'm going to chart the progress, and as I go through this over the next 6 months or so if I find that this doesn't work in the first few I promise you all that I will change what I do between sets. I am very excited about this and am looking forward to it. I hope to break into the 8" club this year, and maybe even get around to the 9" club if everything works out just right but we'll just have to wait and see. With the 2" tube I should get to a bit over 6" in girth and that will do for now as then I will continue to try to grow in length and stay with the 2" inch tube.
