View Full Version : Is protein intake an important part of PE?

I've been lifting weights for about the past month and have read up a little bit on nutrition. I'm currently on a high protein/calorie diet. It's amazing what I've learned about protein and how the body uses it.

I read this in an article with credible references:

"Proteins are important in biosynthetic and bioenergetic reactions related to body growth, maintenance and repair, and energy production. Because energy requirements take priority over growth of new tissue, proteins can be used as an energy source if the diet is lacking in carbohydrates and/or fats. "

Has anyone ever experimented with high protien diets accompanied with PE? I havent taken a measurement since I restarted PE since my thrombosed vein, but it looks like I'm gaining more than I did before. I also seem to heal faster now too. This could be due to the fact that my body is getting used to the exercises, but the protein might have something to do with it.

I know that the penis is not a muscle and doesn't rebuild the same. If protein is used in body growth and repair, it makes sense that it could help out.

I think it could help with girth because protein repairs cells of all types.

Yeah, thanks. I'm known on other boards for posting in the wrong forums all the time. Just smack my posts to the right one, lol.
