You can buy guides telling you where to get stuff to sell. The problem is 100,000 other people have read the same guide (usually bought for 99 cents with resell rights) and 10,000,000 other people have read comparable guides, giving you all the same info and strategies. Because you all sell the same stuff and the competition is so fierce, you'll be lucky to make 5%-10% on your profit margin, after fees and all. Consider the time it takes to list and monitor your auctions and the ridiculous amount of time you'll spend packaging stuff to ship out and you'll find it will be a hard living.
For example, one time I joined a site where I could get new release PS2 and XBOX games for like $43 plus shipping. Now, they can be bought in any store out there for $50 with no shipping but with sales tax (in most states). People come to eBay to save a few bucks and look for a deal. They're not going to "Buy it Now" for $50 if they can run down to the Wal-Mart and be playing it that day. The most someone will probably give you for a new game like that is $45, in most cases. So, you're now making $2 per game and that doesn't even take into account the listing fees and eBay percentages. So, really, you're making nothing per sale. Your only alternative is to pad $1 or $2 into the shipping charges and sell tons of shit. Then, figure every once in a while, you'll have an unsatisfied customer that is going to demand a refund. It's a tough road that way.
Your only solution is to find a true wholesaler. Most will require a federal tax ID or business license and they should not charge you a fee to join their "club" (though some might charge you a small cost for a catalog). I've looked at this and found a few possibilities, but really a limited number on the internet. Most of these companies are probably found a tradeshows or through trade publications. They don't advertise much online, because their bulk business isn't an e-commerce type of business. And I'm convinced you'll need to buy in bulk. I've never found a legitimate dropshipper.
The bottom line is there are guys that have figured out how to make a good living on eBay...and they're not about to share the specifics with you.

You may want to find yourself a specific market and focus your efforts there. If you have a hobby or an interest or expertise you can exploit that to turn a profit.
F'rinstance; I had a gal that worked for me who got out of the Navy and went into business going to yard sales and local thrift stores for baby clothes, she only went for the "high-ticket" kid clothes and always paid less than a buck or two an article. She'd turn around and e-bay the shit outta those for upwards of $20.00 a pop.
Last I talked to her she was doin' quite well for herself.
You need to remember that it is an extremely competitive market. Thinking that someone would just give you their contacts or that you can just buy a guide that will set you up is totally unrealistic. People keep things very close to their chests and the really useful info is hard to come by and rightly so. It takes a lot of time and work to get into a good position and you wouldn't give that away to anyone so why would anyone else.
I have bought all of the e-books and they all explain the same thing and give the exact same contacts for those hundreds that are already doing it for the lowest possible percentage profit. I spend hours and hours searching for possible money making oportunities. Do the same.
You have to be clever and innovative to make real money and always stay ahead of the game.
I know this since I sell large amounts of something on eBay.
P.s. No you can't have any of my contacts. Sorry.

And if so how much will it cost me?
