That is, until one day when browsing an old PE forum I came across a post by a guy with a really big dick and an even bigger heart. There was something in that old post that came across as so genuine, so earnest, that for just a moment I dropped my defensive posture and began to think that maybe there is some truth to PE -maybe it is possible to change.
It is that same spirit that motivates me to share this with you all.

The Captn’s Wench - Hanger, Manual Stretcher, ADS


When I first began PE it quickly became obvious how useful it would be to have a device that was gentle and forgiving on the penis yet provided a strong, tireless grip. The hand is a soft and versatile tool but it can quickly tire and give inconsistent results. Hangers tend to be difficult to build or expensive to buy and despite their powerful grip, often harsh on the penis-- inside and out.
So I pursued the idea of a device that met these needs. I read all I could on Bib's design, Tom Hubbard’s AFB, and other contraptions. I prowled hardware stores and tore through junk drawers. I wanted something safe, simple, fully adjustable, durable, inexpensive, and inconspicuous.
Long story short-- what I ended up with was a surprisingly simple contraption that proved to be more versatile than I had ever hoped. It acts as a hanger, a manual stretch aid, and ADS. Best of all, with a few bucks, five minutes, a ruler and scissors anybody can make one. The same few bucks and ten minutes and you can make two. It is that simple.
I have used this contraption – what I came to call my “Wench” – every day in place of my hands. I hang with it and use it for all of my manual stretching and ADS time. I have gained a nice amount of length and stayed completely injury free. I note this just to be clear that I am not rushing this baby out into the world of PE before testing it with approximately 100 hours hanging and a good amount of manual stretching/ADS time. It’s proved its worth.
If there is any credit to share it is with Bib. My device, like almost all others, borrows most of its inspiration and all of its function from his contributions to PE - Bib is a giant with wide shoulders. As you’ll see, the Wench works on the same concept of lateral compression, incremental tightening, and the virtually risk free encircling of the shaft that his hangers are famous for. And for the record, I own a Bib Starter and humbly admit that it is the superior device. The only advantage to the Wench is that it is extremely easy to make and considerably less expensive than a production model.

Supplies for making The Captn’s Wench

*All of the following items can be purchased almost anywhere: Wal-Mart, Home-Depot, Lowes, etc.

You will need:
10” strip of Industrial Strength VELCRO brand Tape* – 2 inch wide with sticky back
(2) 1”x 2” rectangles of Grippers (Soft Touch by Waxman)**
1 to 3 feet of nylon strap – 1 inch wide
(1) medium CableClamp brand clamp
Tools:
1 scissors
1 ruler

*You must use this very product for the Wench to succeed. Only the Industrial Strength version will suffice. It is sold in a 4 foot quantity (black or white) for apprx $6.00 at Wal-Mart and other stores.
** This product is sold in several sizes: 1”x 2” rectangles, 1”x 4” rectangles, and 6”x 6” squares. It is a “hard rubber” product with a sticky backing and a textured front that works ideally for this device. However, it can be substituted with a like material provided it has a thickness of ¼”: Hard Rubber, soft plastic, balsa wood, (you may need to apply a silicone film to the front face of slicker surfaces). I highly recommend using Gripper rectangles.

Instructions for making The Captn’s Wench

* Please note that the following dimensions are for men with a measurement of approximately 5” EG. People with significantly larger girth (6”-up) may want to proportionately scale these dimensions up. People significantly smaller girth (under 4”) may want to scale them down some. This may not be necessary given that the Wench is at all times completely adjustable. Still, as we know, flaccid sizes can vary greatly from man to man so consider this when constructing your own Wench.

Step1
-Cut a 10” length of Velcro brand Industrial Strength Tape
(This product comes in two parts: The ‘rough’ hook-strip and the ‘soft’ catch-strip-- so you are in actuality cutting two separate 10” strips of Tape)
-From the back of both strips peel the paper backing to expose the sticky adhesive
-Very carefully lay one strip on top of the other (sticky back to sticky back) and flatten. *Be careful to correctly align all edges of these two strips as this can greatly affect the comfort, performance, and appearance of your finished Wench.
You should now have one 10” two-sided band of Velcro

Step2
-Cut two 1”x 2” rectangles of ‘rough’ hook-strip Velcro
-Cut two 1”x 2” rectangles of Gripper hard rubber
(If you have bought this in the 1”x 2” rectangle form go to next step)
-Peel the paper backing from all four rectangles and apply one Velcro rectangle to the back of each Gripper rectangle (sticky back to sticky back)
-Using the scissors, trim the sharp rubber corners of these rectangles to a blunt “rounded” angle - Being careful not to trim too much.

Step3
-Cut a piece of nylon strap: Hangers 10”, Manual Stretchers and ADS 16-36”
*This can and will vary greatly according to your needs and preference. Some of you may want to make a variety of straps.
--Cut two 1”x 2” pieces of ‘soft’ catch-strip Velcro.
-With the Nylon strap lying flat remove the sticky backing of the 1”x 2” rectangles and firmly attach them to the left and right ends of the nylon strap length-wise. Be sure that the end of each rectangle sits flush against the respective end of the nylon strap. Be sure that you attach both catch strips to the same side of the nylon strap.

You should at this point have 4 parts in front of you:
-One 10” band of two-sided Velcro
-Two 1”x 2” rectangles of Gripper/Velcro
-One nylon strap with catch-strip Velcro ends

Step4
-With the 10” band lying horizontally in front of you catch-side up (soft-side) measure in 3/4” from the left end
-Place the left edge of one of the Gripper rectangles on this line, hook-side down. Affix the rectangle so that its top and bottom edges are flush (line up) with the top and bottom edges of the 10” band. Press firmly
-Measure 1 ½” right from the right edge of this Gripper rectangle
-Place the left edge of the second rectangle on this line as you did the first. Firmly affix this rectangle to the 10” band

Step5
Attach each of the ‘soft’ catch-strip ends of the nylon strap to the ‘rough’ outer side of the 10” band directly behind each of the Gripper rectangles. Make sure the strap edges run parallel with the Gripper rectangles edges.

You have now completed the Captn’s Wench. All that is left to do is work out the adjustments necessary to create a custom fit. This can best be accomplished with a few minutes of trial and error, so I recommend reading the next post on using the Captn’s Wench.

Using the Captn’s Wench

I have included a photo progression (wench_instr.jpg) with each step numbered to correspond with these instructions.
-Wrap your flaccid penis* and decide which of your hands is the stronger - this we will call your “Squeeze Hand”. The other hand will be referred to as your “Free Hand”.
(The following instructions assume your “Squeeze Hand” is your right hand. People using their left hand as their “Squeeze Hand” must reverse the nylon strap to accommodate its change in direction).

1. Place the Wench, soft-side up/rough-side down, in the palm of your Squeeze Hand. Be sure that the Wench is positioned so that the two rectangles sit over your hand. Allow that the more “middle” rectangle sits at the heel of your hand, and the more “edge” rectangle sits on top of your finge tips.
You should see that a small portion of the Wench extends to the left of your finger tips (about 3/4”).
2. Place your penis bottom side down onto the Wench so that it lies right in the middle of the channel space created by the two rectangles. Leave at least 1” or more of the penis shaft exposed beyond the top edge of the Wench. Place the thumb of your Free Hand down onto the top side of your penis covering as much of the shaft length-wise as possible.
3. In one motion begin to press down on your penis with your thumb and simultaneously begin folding your Squeeze Hand so that your finger-tips and the heal of your hand move to meet (Imagine closing a book while holding both the front and back covers in one hand)
At this point you should be able to remove your thumb without your penis escaping the grip of your Squeeze Hand.
4. While keeping as tight a squeeze on your shaft as possible, grab the opposite “loose” end of the Wench with your Free Hand and begin to securely wrap the Wench around itself, allowing the two sides of Velcro to catch.
5. Slowly unfold the grip of your Squeeze Hand as you continue to wrap the Wench around itself with your Free Hand until fully closed. You will likely find that the end of the band will stop somewhere near the top of the right side.
6. Once you’re finished securing your penis into the Wench it should look and feel as though your shaft is snuggly surrounded by a perfect cylinder with the greatest pressure being on the sides of your shaft. If the shape of the Wench is skewed or you do not feel something of a “hug” on your shaft you may want to repeat the whole process until you’re sure you have it right.
The nylon strap should form a perfect upside-down “U” shape around your penis head with at least 1” of space between the center of the “U” and the tip of your glans.

Note: You will likely need to rearrange the distance between the two internal rectangles to fit the unique size and shape of your penis. To do this gently lift off only one of the rectangles (preferably the “middle” one) and move it closer or further from its counter-part. Experiment with it until you’re happy. Be sure to also move the respective end of the Nylon Strap along with the rectangle.

Clamping
Once you are convinced of an adequate fit, encircle the Wench with a medium size CableClamp at its horizontal middle. I prefer to attach the clamp with its open end at the top of the Wench (closest to me) - the other option being at the bottom of the Wench (never on the sides!)

Because the CableClamp is shaped more like an oval than a circle, it is essential that the more narrow form of the oval meet with the sides of the Wench – not the top and bottom. This creates the necessary lateral compression needed for a safe and effective hold on the internal penis.
As you tighten the Clamp make sure to give it as many “clicks” as is possible, even if this seems counter-intuitive. The tighter the lateral grab is on the internal penis the better. With a brand new Wench I register three “clicks”. As my Wench becomes more broken in I am able to get four “clicks”. This, of course will vary from man to man, as well as according to how much wrap you use.
Once you have the clamp fully tightened test the hold of the Wench on your penis by grabbing the nylon strap and pulling outward, away from your body. Try to gauge whether you are pulling more skin than internal penis. If this is the case be brave enough to try for another “click” of the Clamp. A great trick is to tighten the clamp as much as possible, wait about 30 seconds as the penis adjusts and then try for another “click”. If this still proves too difficult you may need to alter the amount of wrap - more or less – until you are convinced that the Wench has a nice tight hold on the internal penis.
You should find that the whole process of suiting up with the Wench (and taking it off) takes no more than a few seconds once you have your personal adjustments correct and have used it a few times.

Using the Captn’s Wench

Arrr…The Captn’s Wench: Three ways to use ‘er and she always makes your dick grow.

Hanging
To the experienced hanger, the Wench and all of its advantages and disadvantages should quickly become evident. Matters such as “top and bottom gap” can be addressed, albeit in a primitive way. Most of my own time using the Wench has been spent hanging and I’ve found it to be the perfect vehicle for this often times frustrating method of PE. The efficient on and off, the easy adjustability, and the surprising power of its gentle grip all make for a pleasant experience using a variety of weight and set time/duration. And because of the durable strength of the materials used, your personal settings remain perfectly intact until you decide there is a need to change them.
To the uninitiated hanger I can only recommend educating yourself as much as possible about the process and all of its complexities. This knowledge coupled with a small amount of patience should go a long way toward successful hanging with the Wench.

Manual Stretching
It goes without saying that anytime we use a gripping device in place of our hands we increase our ability to intensify our stretching. I plan on posting a separate thread that details a number of very interesting and powerful stretches that have developed or been enhanced from my use of the Wench. I could do no justice to them here. For now I’ll just say that I was surprised by the versatility the device lent to manual stretching.

ADS
All Day Stretching with the Wench is yet another subject for another thread. I think it becomes obvious to anyone familiar with ADS that the Wench has great potential in this realm. With a practiced “Squeeze Hand” technique I have learned that I can get a good enough hold on my internal penis to use the Wench as an ADS without the requirement of a CableClamp. This is, of course, for use only with the small amount of tension required for an ADS. With the absence of the clamp the softness, shape, and size of the Wench make it very easy to conceal under loose clothing.

*Wrapping
In order to use the Wench I’ve found it necessary to wrap my penis – anyone unfamiliar with the how-to’s of wrapping should educate themselves on the subject.
I am a big fan of using TheraWrap all on its own and have found it ideal for use with the Wench.
Regardless of your previous wrapping experience I recommend experimenting with different approaches. I personally have found that the Wench interacts in a very forgiving way with the soft tissues of the penis due to its own rather soft construction. Therefore “less is more” seems to be the rule.

Other Thoughts on the Captn’s Wench

Long and Short
A great feature of the Wench is the flexibility it offers to men of varying sizes. As I noted, simply moving the distance between the Gripper rectangles allows a custom fit for any girth or shape.
Even better, with PE being the realm of “smaller” men the Wench allows you to alter its dimensions to better suit your flaccid LENGTH as well as girth. By simply sizing down every 2” measurement in the instructions one can create a “shorter” Wench to accommodate a shorter flaccid length.
Example:
Trimming the Velcro band horizontally from 10”x 2” to a thinner 10”x 1 ½”, and the Grippers rectangles from 1”x 2” to 1”x 1 ½” – you end up with a more appropriately proportioned cylinder should your flaccid length demand it. (The soft-catch Velcro on the Nylon strap would also go down in dimension)

Uli Effect
I was surprised to find that leaving the Wench on between sets, without the CableClamp, creates an interesting “Uli” effect on the head of my penis. This is neither severe nor uncomfortable and I can’t attest to its long-term significance on permanent head expansion, but it certainly can’t hurt. I know that Bib has written about using his hanger as a Uli device, and I don’t doubt that with a little experimenting the Wench can be modified to meet this end as well. Due to interruptions and distractions I often leave the Wench on for extended periods, even under my clothes, and have found it to be completely undetectable. By simply squeezing blood from the head of my penis I am able to provide fresh blood for tissue health—I also make sure to do this before re-attaching the CableClamp as I continue with hanging/stretching sets.

Head Size
On the issue of penis head size: Men who have a very large glans may find a need to further customize the Wench so as to avoid any uncomfortable contact between the Wench and their glans when hanging/stretching. By simply marking with a piece of white chalk those areas on the top edge of the cylinder where undesired contact is happening, you can trim back portions of the Wench – in essence carving a customized top end to fit your personal needs.
I recommend keeping any trimming to a minimum so as not to compromise the strength of the “hug” the Wench can provide to the shaft. Also, give the wench a few tries before immediately carving it up – many “head-contact” issues can be resolved with other adjustments and even a light wrap over part of the glans.
I think it is just as obvious that you trim down the Wench only AFTER having removed it from your penis.

Dorsal Nerves
People concerned with potentially dangerous stress on the dorsal nerves located on the top of the penis shaft directly behind the glans should be put at ease once they try the Wench. They will notice a “bridge” effect that is created as the outer sleeve of the Wench spans from the top of both Gripper rectangles over the top of the shaft. This issue becomes even less of a concern due to the lateral pressure created by the natural oval shape of the CableClamp when tightened.
This does not mean there isn’t contact between the Wench and the top of the shaft – but the contact is light and as I have learned, of no real consequence. In fact, I think this mild contact helps in eliminating slippage as I have experienced absolutely no such problems with the Wench when properly clamped.
I will add the obligatory warning here: Always use extreme caution and sound judgment when hanging weight or putting any stress on your penis! Listen to your body and not your desire for a bigger tool.

Circulation
Anyone familiar with Bigger’s work knows that he provides for circulation with his hangers via “blood flow channels”. To date, I have not experienced any circulation issues with the Wench as is. It seems that the upper and lower “bridges” created by the design afford the necessary blood flow to avoid troubled hanging.
I originally thought to carve shallow grooves, or channels, into the Gripper rectangles of the Wench to further enhance blood flow ala Bib’s hangers but have yet to find a need. Those of you interested in pursuing this with your own Wench are free to do so, and should find that the hard-rubber Grippers lend themselves well to this task. I would think that you’d want to avoid compromising the “solid” integrity of the Grippers by carving to deep or too many such grooves.

Cable Clamps
I tried many methods for providing the necessary lateral compression needed to achieve a strong enough grip on the internal penis to hang significant weight. My original intention was to create an all inclusive one-piece contraption. I tried everything from small pet neck collars to metal hose clamps. Ultimately, nothing came close to the natural shape, convenience, strength, and affordability of the medium size CableClamp (to say nothing of their inconspicuous appearance). The only area where they fall short – and this is another area where Bibs hangers excel – is in their inability to tighten or loosen in increments smaller than approximately 1/8”. The only remedy I have found that resolves the issue of too loose a grip is in how much or how little wrap I use. I’m convinced this will become self-explanatory as people try out the Wench. It may even be something that is resolved in an even more sophisticated or more unorthodox way.
* A great little bonus of buying the four-pack of CableClamps is that the small clamps can act in place of an S-hook for hanging – meaning that short of the weight itself, the supplies I’ve given (not including your wrap) are all that one needs to successfully hang. This is great for light travelers who have to deal with an array of suspicions about sharp metal objects these days (to say nothing of nosy friends and curious spouses at home or the office).

Cloning and Stealth
Because the materials used to make the Wench are so inexpensive and come in a quantity that allows you to quickly and easily make more than one, it is a perfect design to experiment with. As well, once you’ve settled on one you like you can make a second, or a third. I personaly keep two – one at home and one at the office and never fear it’s discovery as it can be rolled tightly and stashed, or can be left unrolled and stored under papers, in a book, etc. For those PE’ers who need exceptional discretion, by simply marking your settings you can in seconds disassemble the Wench and keep the parts separate until it’s time to get back to business.

SWM:
One thing to keep in mind regarding the Wench as an ADS:
You should give the thing a number of hours of use before attempting a clothing concealed ADS. The Velcro right out of the box is pretty stiff material and needs time to loosen up or "break in". This makes it possible to achieve a strong enough "squeeze" that you won't need the clamp for an ADS level of tension.
Without the CableClamp you will have considerably less grab on the internal penis so any tension greater than a pound or two will likely result in more skin stretch than anything else. To wit, the more adept you become at putting it on and the more powerful your "Squeeze Hand" the stronger the grab the Wench gets on the internal penis.
Also, keep in mind the whole Uli effect. When wearing this thing sans clamp I've noticed more "blood in" than "blood out" to the glans. I say this only as a reminder that wearing it at all for any length of time will likely require that you keep a vigilant eye on circulation to the glans. I don't mean this literally - as in a constant visual checking for color/cold etc. - I mean remembering to squeeze blood out the engorged penis head every 10 minutes or so to avoid starving tissue of oxygen (20 mins max). Don't worry, it will fill right back up. You can accomplish this pretty discreetly through your clothing.

Glad to see you posting here! I have assembled all but the grippers, have to get to the Home Despot this week. I had a thought about using your wench as an ADS. Could you not substitute the non-stealth cable clamp for say a rubber band or wire-tie (the kind that can be undone, of course) for a bit of tension? Wouldn't need much tension for a few pounds weight, but would be stealth.

I don't want to cross threads but to answer a question you had about the Wench as ADS in a different thread:
Check what I posted above. You should probably break this bitch in by hanging some good weight using the CableClamp - for a few days. Once she's broken in you will get a much much better hug on the shaft when you initially put it on. You have to give it a pretty vicious squeeze and this gets easier as it breaks in. But you've probably noticed that the Velcro cylinder is still very stiff. Break it in with a little hang time. Then try ADS.
In case you missed it, someone over at Thunder's Place - noted that he was able to get a substantial stretch without using the CableClamp. He achieved this by using an Ace bandage wrap under Therawrap. I think this creates a firmer shaft for the Wench to grab. But I'm not sure. Check out that thread.

OK I built mine The grippers turned out to be hard for me to get, but it was worth the effort. I assembled the hanger in just a few minutes once I had all the materials, and I am not the handiest guy around. I have a BIB, and it took over a month of testing settings and wraps before I got it working. The wench required only one adjustment of the grippers, and I was comfortably hanging less than 10 minutes from when I started construction. Amazing simplicity and comfort, and it cost less than a large pizza. Sweet!

Well, after several failed attempts at trying to get this thing to work as an all day stretcher system....I have come to the conclusion it will not. At least not for me. No matter how snug the velcro is...yes, it's VERY worn in and soft...it wont grip tightly enough without a cable clamp. It's already thick enough w/out the clamp...with the clamp...it cannot be concealed under pants. Not even under my Old Navy WIDE LEGS. I tried using the grabbers, stacking two grabbers on each side, I even made some "custom" hard PVC pieces...to no avail. It either gripped too loosely or too tightly or was not concealable and therefor not practical for ADS. It's a great hanger design for men who want another option from the home made Bib hangers...and probably easier for some guys to make though. Oh well, back to my girth work, and when I hit my girth goal, my full sized production Bib should fit me much better and then I will go back on the attack for more length.

I have been using my Wench as an ADS all afternoon with great success. First, I found an old gel shoe insert that had a felt backing. I cut two pieces to fit over the grippers in the Wench. Then I attached some Velcro to the top of the grippers. The felt on the back of the gel stuck to it just fine.

I found this was comfortable enough to hang without wrapping. Then I got creative. I stuck some of the soft Velcro on the tray of my Penimaster. Then to tighten the Wench without a big clamp, I cinched it up with a wire-tie (the kind that has a release, the regular kind would have to be cut off!) Next I just slapped my Wenched penis onto the Velcro tray of my Penimaster and was able to stretch comfortably for 3 hours (I never made it past 1 hour on the Penimaster with it's original mounting). I could have kept going, but I had other things to try.

While Wenchimastering, I dug out an old ADS that I never got any successful use out of. It consists of a neoprene knee brace (the kind one may purchase in any drug store) and a thick condom with an eye bolt in the end. The knee brace has a small spring sewn on the side to attach to the condom. I just put on the knee brace and hooked the spring to the Wench and I got what I believe is the best ADS device I have ever owned (and I have bought a lions share of them). Anyone could make one by sewing a bungee to a knee brace and hooking it to the Wench.

After a few hours of playing, I took off the tie wrap and the Wench is still holding just fine. I am thinking the gel insole grips the penis a bit better than wrapping or the plain grippers in the original Wench design. Couldn't hang without the cable clamp, but ADS at say a few pounds pressure seems OK.

Still, try the gel insoles and if they don't work alone, just add a releasing wire-tie. This is a very sweet ADS!

with the hanging, yes...though i think its because of the ace bandage wrap under it, im going to try the self adhesive tomorrow night though.

You might be right about the ace bandage. Or perhaps your wrap is too thick. When I wrap for my BIB I have to use a pretty thick wrap, but I have found just once around with theraband does the trick with the Wench. The BIB needs wrap for support, but the wench seems to need wrap only for comfort.

Well I just finished my first hanging session with the Wench and it really works well. I have always done manual stretching before and this is much easier.
While sitting there thinking about getting a bigger dick I remembered how I always wondered how much equivalent pull to weight I was getting when stretching manually.
I have now figured it out, I'm going to Walmart to get a fish weighing scale to attach to the wench so I will know how much pressure to put when pulling on my pecker.(Try to say that fast three times.)
I won't be able to hang at home I have to do it on the sly so this will be helpful.

It is more commonly known as Nylon Webbing. The 1 inch wide version is commonly used in luggage straps, backpack straps, dog leashes, straps for Bimini tops and life vests on boats among other things. If you look around your house you will probably find some that you can cut off something you already have (like an old backpack or but-pack).

Perhaps print a picture of it off and take the picture with you to the store. Remember, you want 1 inch wide nylon webbing in a length of anywhere from 1 to 3 feet (my piece is really only about 8 inches long). Oh, and when you cut it, run the cut lightly over a flame (like from a lighter or match). This will melt the end cut together so it doesn't fray.

I just built a wench and am hanging 5 pounds right now...I've never hung before but have to say that so far hanging seems like it would be valuable. My lig is feeling it :)

Guys build yourselves a wench...it took me about 30 minutes to make mine and that is because I am totally clueless when it comes to all this hardward type of stuff and I even managed to fudge the simple instructions...hahaha. Also so far it feels really good no bad pressure on the head, but I am hanging pretty light right now.

Go for it...drive across town if you need to to buy the materials. I did. Its worth it...be dedicated...

Call them and ask where you can get the sticky back industrial Velcro tape near you. (for others out of the US, there are listings world-wide of distributors on the Velcro site www.velcro.com ).

The nylon strapping is usually called webbing. Asking for strapping will just confuse a clerk. ANY good ships chandlers will stock it alongside the ropes he sells, and most any fabric or craft store will too. In fact, I have seen the industrial Velcro and the webbing in three local fabric stores, our local craft store, and every ships store I have been in (I do get around ships stores!). I imagine you will have similar fortunes looking in fabric or craft stores there.

The grippers may be a bit of a no-go in the UK though. I have successfully tested a couple of alternatives. Plain 1/4" balsa wood cut to size works, as do a paint stirrer stick or wood ruler cut to size (1"x2"). Attach the Velcro to the underside as for the grippers and you will be hanging in no time. I like to smear a layer of aquarium grade silicone on the front side of the blocks for comfort, or glue on a cut up piece of a shoe gel insole (very spongy and comfortable). Others have successfully substituted rubber shoe sole replacements available at shoe repair shops for the grippers, cut to size of course. The idea is to use something hard, but with just a tad of give, that is about 1"x2"x1/4" or so.

Oh, and I know there are SAMs clubs and Walmarts in England. Are there none near you?

Never any kind of semi, partly, or hint of an erection while hanging for safety's sake please! If it is falling off, it is too loose. Are you using the cableclamp with it? You really have to crank down on it - the more weight, the tighter the clamp. Try tightening the clamp more, watch the head for dark color and cold to the touch feeling. Report back. Hanging is very much trial and error in the beginning, so keep trying and reporting so we can get it right!

A complete guide is in the works. It should be here almost any day now. If you can hold your breath a bit, the answer you seek will be revealed! And I promise you will be amazed and delighted at the simplicity and low cost of the thing, as well as how nicely it actually works. I have the prototype, and it is the most usable ADS I have ever owned. It is also way safer than the others I have tried. I really can wear it all day, something I have never actually accomplished with at least a half-dozen other ADS I have bought over the years - not one of them costing less than $170.

Since I have taken a Pirate's Oath with the Captn, all I can say for now is don't throw away those long pieces of Velcro left over from the Wench construction, and save a buck for a trip to the dollar store...

All I used was a strong table wipe, string and a medium sizezed cable clamp - ofcourse a 5lb weight.

King, I know what you mean! I imagine Hook is quite busy right now because he has children and they are off school for the holidays. He told me at our last Pirate Union meeting that he had hoped to get it done before the holidays started, but Christmas is a busy time of year for a family man. I think most kids start back at school this coming week, so with any luck he might finish it up and end all our breath holding in a few days.

I have released the pictures of my simple homemade hanger.
Its based on the captains wrench...it is that except can be made quicker by cheap skates like me ;) the poor mans captains wrench I suppose.

Anyway my diagrams AINT NO WAY GREAT....well their pix.

I used a Milk chocolate tub as the penis.

The pix should give you all an idea onto how this is made.

Simply you need these things to make it

#1: A strong wash cloth - a thickish one that will stand weight.
#2: String, like that from shoe laces.

Thats all you need to make this simple hanger.

This is how to make it.

#1: get ya sexy washcloth and fold it in half.
This should now be big enough to go around your penis - if not get a bigger cloth.

#2: Get a knife, scissors and at the top of the cloth near the edge but NOT right at the edge...leave a 1/2 inch.....jab a hole in it....make this hole so its center wise along the line.
Do the same thing....two more holes 3/4 of an inch to the right and left of the center hole.

This is for our string....it will go in and out of these holes....making sure the pressure from the hang doesnt rip the cloth and also so the weight is evenly balanced out.

#3: Get the string and push thru'' the center hole.
Than down thru the left hole, come up thru'' the right hole and than back down the left hole.
Finally come up again thru'' the center hole.
Do this at least this many times....but you can do it quite a few times if the string is any longer.

#4: Tie a double knot at the center hole.
Pull the string and monitor the cloth at the holes.
The force should pull all wholes...it looks okay...continue.

#5: simply get 5lbs of weight to start with or whatever ya hang, I have gone upto 15lbs with this thing and no probz....dunno any weight over that.
Tie the string thru'' the holes of the weights and knot...simple as.

#6: Now to fasten it to the penis.
Make sure ya flaccid.
Get the cloth so the knotted center is on top of the penis just under the head.
Wrap the cloth around the penis...it should now have the holes at the top of the penis not far away from the head with the ends of the cloth under the penis.

#7: Get a medium sized clamp.
Clamp off say 2 inches away from the base....just make it so its not quite mid-shaft....this is to ensure safety.
Clamp as tight as you can, circulation will be alright as the cloth will minimize some of the torniquet effect from the clamp - like a barrier.

Now your ready to hang.
20 minutes is usually the norm'' for a session.

I like this hanger alot.

1st hanging set ever did 5 pounds BTC without a problem, makes me wonder what all of the talk of hanging being a pain is! LOL
Instead of the grippers I used mouse pad glued to pieces of paint stick (in right measurements of course). I think this might be more effective than the grippers, as the hard surface spreads the pressure more length wise, and the soft rubber hugs the shaft more, spreading the pressure around the shaft.

Great idea with the mousepad on the paint stick! I have used gel insoles on paint sticks, and I am thinking the mousepad would be every bit as good if not even better! Great thinking there, I am going to try that out myself once I get my hands on a mousepad. I can hang without wrapping with the gel insoles for a set or two, I am thinking the mousepad might just increase that. Your name might be tough, but your brain is sharp...

Supra, I hang comfortably at 15 pounds regularly now. I have tried the Wench for sets at up to 25 pounds just to test various crazy ideas and theories. It has been comfortable even then.

Just a couple comments:

I have built a wench and think it is absolutely great. I at first was skeptical b/c it kept slipping and didn't feel right, but after some adjustments and breaking it in a bit, the thing is amazing. I followed PirateSteves idea and used insoles instead of the grippers, and they work very well. I also have trimmed off a lot of the extra Velcor and my Wench is now only about 6-7 inches long (I was having troubling clamping it using a medium clamp)

First of all for all those who need parts you can find all of them at walmart if you use the insoles instead of the grippers

Velcro = Crafts

Clamp *3 pack of small, med, large*= Hardware (tricky to find at the one i went to, kinda hanging off to the side and not really part of the aisle so keep a lookout for them)

Nylon Strap = camping/hunting/fishing section

Insoles = pharmacy

**Btw, i did find beige colored grippers that were 1*2 at Target in the hardware area

I was able to put the whole thing together in less than 20 and after trying it and finding it a bit uncomfortable at first i manually tried breaking the Velcro in with my hands. I basically rolled it up, twisted it, bent it and everything else just to loosen it up a bit, and it worked pretty well and made it much more comfortable with my next use.

For those wondering about weight, the pirate took care of that saying that he can use up to 25lbs, i have done 15lbs and its worked comfortably for me




Red - what you made looks to be very cost efficient and uses items that are readily available. The only thing i see that wont work as well as the Wench is that from the pics it doesnt look like you have the side 'grippers' These i believe are important for those using more weight as the Captain had said somewhere it will take pressure off the dorsal nerves. But nice job nonetheless

I thought I would take the opportunity to highlight a few classic rules for everyone to keep in mind:

Respect:
you owe it to yourself to be extremely careful. Respect that what you are doing is unusual and your body knows it.

Be Alert:
Pay very close attention to what you are doing, how much you are doing, and for how long you are doing it. At all times!
Never exceed the 20 minute mark and always keep in physical touch with your unit.

Enough is Enough:
Obey your body. Listen when it tells you it has had enough. Your body does not lie.
Be willing to hang up the hanger and hang another day.

Pain Is Bad:
Pain is never, ever acceptable. Do not try to work through pain.
Other than a mild tugging sensation, you should be able to do a full set without being severely distracted by your weight.
The only acception to this is when stretching skin, and even then you should not feel the need to stop a set. If so, stop the set.

Time and Patience:
The only people who gain via hanging are the patient ones. All others quit, move on to other methods, or hurt themselves.

Time and Patience are the key to gains.

Another bonus of the Wench is this: halfway through the set, pick up the weight, unclamp and for about 15-20s repeatedly squeeze the head till it goes back to normal colour. This might prevent tissue death/numbness. That would probably be too hard to do with other hangers...

Yes. You will notice that you can peel the plastic strip from the back of both male and female bands to expose the sticky (glue) adhesive. Marry these two surfaces together, essentially creating one solid band of Velcro with opposite male/female sides.

Be careful: That stuff is very sticky.

It is really important to accurately match these two strips when sticking them together. For some, it might require more than one try - but you should have enough Velcro to make a mistake and start over.

The intended purpose of the Waxman Grippers is to provide a non-skid buffer between heavy furniture and hardwood floors. They are made of a very firm rubber and have a nice mild texture on one side.
I and others have consistently found them at Lowe's Hardware stores in the hardware section (nuts, bolts, screws, etc).
Others have found them at Walmart. Save yourself time and print the "supplies" pic and take it along to show sales help. They'll know what it is.

The clamps have been found at Walmart, Lowe's, and HomeDepot. If that doesn't pan out, check into the company homepage - you can buy them there or they may direct you to where else you might find them. Also, do a search here on the forum. A lot of guys use them for other purposes, so I'm sure their must be a link somewhere here at MoS:

I agree that this looks like a great device. I was toying around with a similar design using those stretchy velcro straps that hold my ski's together. The idea about gluing the velcro back to back is great.

Basically you can stretch "the crap" out of your schlong with this thing, loL! You can hold it in a given position for WAAAAAAAY longer than you could with just your hand, which can only help in your length efforts, I think. I always just make sure to warm up real well (I use a heating pad), and wrap carefully so as not to bunch up the skin too much anywhere (which could lead to soreness and/or fluid build up). I've also come up with some pretty inventive techniques using the wench for stretching, some involving the use of my FEET (haha....sounds weird, I know, but use your imagination and you can come up with all sorts of cool ways to stretch with this baby!)

Sorry I missed these last few posts inquiring about the manual stretching exercises.
I finished that article a while ago and then sort of dropped it because there was at the time a few guys reporting incidents of numbness while using the Wench. These guys were hangers and I was of the mind that if something as innocuous as the static tension of hanging can bring about numbness, the risks are even greater when freely applying varying levels of tension in manual mode.
The amount of stress one is capable of applying to their unit when manually stretching with the Wench can be quite intense - many times what is possible using just the bare hand.

Now, experience has provided me with a far better insight into the causes of numbness as it relates to using a device such as the Wench. Frankly, I do not believe the Wench by itself - if used properly - can be faulted for an incident of numbness; be it acute or chronic. So the potential for this manual stretching tutorial still exists -- but I would be remiss not to appropriately word a very strong forward on safety and responsibility when attempting it.

I have that article lying around on one of my hard drives complete with illustrations and all. I might dig it up.
A few of the exercises touch upon what InDeep is talking about in the preceding post. In fact, the entire theme of it is about taking a far more unconventional approach to manual stretching - using leverage along with other parts of your anatomy to stretch the old unit.

Someone said this was like finding the "Holy Grail". Man I had a hell of a time, but I got all of the parts except for the grippers.I substituted Dr.Shoals heell inserts, Doesn't do to bad of a job. Alas I have finally made one of these. I am going to give it a try, and see how it works. I did some stretches, and the stretches are more intense because of the better grip.

Made my own today, gonna go test it :) Tried it a bit, barely got clamp on at all. Didnt work too tell either, but Ill give it another go and report back!

The velcro can be found at many places but is MUCH cheaper at Wal-Mart.
The 1" nylon webbing can also be found cheaply at Wal-mart. I'm sure that the 1" webbing can also be ordered by the foot from many outdoor/climbing companies like REI. The only place that had the grippers was Lowe's (just like Cap'n says on the first page). I already have several generic therabands and have already cut up one of those (and washed it - it was dirty).

I found the "put-it-together" instructions very easy to follow. Good job! So far, the wench tends to initially pinch skin at the base. I just pull out the skin and that is solved. The device also tends to ride up and over the glans. I think that I'm going to trim the horizontal width from 2" to maybe 1.75" and the length from 10" to about 9.5" Trimming and repositioning the pads is also on my to-do list. Something else that I notice is that when I use the clamp, it tends to bunch up the velcro and create a pressure point. Hopefully, this will be resolved after I trim the length. I don't think more wrap would resolve the "bunching" issue, though. Once everthing is trimmed, I'm gonna try to clamp down harder (going for at least 3 clicks) - and hopefully there won't be pain . . .

I have released the pictures of my simple homemade hanger.
Its based on the captains wrench...it is that except can be made quicker by cheap skates like me ;) the poor mans captains wrench I suppose.

Anyway my diagrams AINT NO WAY GREAT....well their pix.

I used a Milk chocolate tub as the penis.

The pix should give you all an idea onto how this is made.

Simply you need these things to make it

#1: A strong wash cloth - a thickish one that will stand weight.
#2: String, like that from shoe laces.

Thats all you need to make this simple hanger.

This is how to make it.

#1: get ya sexy washcloth and fold it in half.
This should now be big enough to go around your penis - if not get a bigger cloth.

#2: Get a knife, scissors and at the top of the cloth near the edge but NOT right at the edge...leave a 1/2 inch.....jab a hole in it....make this hole so its center wise along the line.
Do the same thing....two more holes 3/4 of an inch to the right and left of the center hole.

This is for our string....it will go in and out of these holes....making sure the pressure from the hang doesnt rip the cloth and also so the weight is evenly balanced out.

#3: Get the string and push thru'' the center hole.
Than down thru the left hole, come up thru'' the right hole and than back down the left hole.
Finally come up again thru'' the center hole.
Do this at least this many times....but you can do it quite a few times if the string is any longer.

#4: Tie a double knot at the center hole.
Pull the string and monitor the cloth at the holes.
The force should pull all wholes...it looks okay...continue.

#5: simply get 5lbs of weight to start with or whatever ya hang, I have gone upto 15lbs with this thing and no probz....dunno any weight over that.
Tie the string thru'' the holes of the weights and knot...simple as.

#6: Now to fasten it to the penis.
Make sure ya flaccid.
Get the cloth so the knotted center is on top of the penis just under the head.
Wrap the cloth around the penis...it should now have the holes at the top of the penis not far away from the head with the ends of the cloth under the penis.

#7: Get a medium sized clamp.
Clamp off say 2 inches away from the base....just make it so its not quite mid-shaft....this is to ensure safety.
Clamp as tight as you can, circulation will be alright as the cloth will minimize some of the torniquet effect from the clamp - like a barrier.

Now your ready to hang.
20 minutes is usually the norm'' for a session.

I like this hanger alot.

I just made one of these myself. Works like a charm - the only thing I'm using different (until my cable clamps come in) is a hose clamp. Since it's more circular than oval, I'm taking it off for a couple minutes every 15 minutes or so to allow better circulation. Thanks for the idea Cap...much more economic for us poor folk.

I made one, and while it certainly allows me to get a really strong grip without hurting my wrists, it does stretch and irritate my foreskin, making it swell after a really strenuous session. Getting a little rough in texture, too.

Oh yeah. It's the bunching up of the skin at the head when I pull the wench that's causing it, I think. The foreskin gets quite blackish after a few good pulls, so I release the clamp and get the blood flowing again, then resume. For a day or so afterward, the foreskin will be sore when I pull it down the shaft when get a hard-on. I wait for that to go away, then resume my regimen.

Needless to say, this is a bitch. Does anyone have any skin cream they'd recommend? Bag Balm perhaps?

I encourage you to try to get the supplies and build one yourself. Doing so will make it easier to do the inevitable repairs; from my experience, the adhesive on the grippers begin to slip after a month or so of use at weights approaching 10 lbs and will need to be replaced.

I've built 2 since yesterday, a 2" wide CW, and another made from 1" velcro strip for an ads.
The new velcro needs to be broken in more, but I am comfortably hanging 12.5lbs, w/ 1 cable clamp , comforably, w/ the 1" wide CW w/ a coban wrap. It is soo friggin comfortable!
I am certain I will be able to hang 20+ lbs from this in another few days.

OK... assembled in 15 mins!!!!! Had a clamp.... Does it feel okay when hanging 10lbs or more with this device? looks such a simple yet effective tool. Surprising really more haven't made one, myself incl. If this could handle 20lbs or so than I would use it.

hanging 11 with ease right now! i feel maybe twice that will max it! but... with alittle tweaking i think it could hold more weight!

I started hanging in november with it, started at 2.5 ibs and been on and off PE here and there (took 3 months off due to a trip)..

Just did my first 10 pound hang.. No complaints, no slippage. I use 2 cable clamps spread on the velcro. I wrap with What-a-grip cut to fit on my penis and wrap a 3x8 terry cloth strip cut from an old towel.

I didn't take any measurements before sadly.. don't know why I didn't, its really easy. Now I am 6 erect circumference and 6.5 erect. I am sure that .5 is gains though. Don't think i remember ever hitting 6 when i used to mess around and stick a ruler up.

That is tough! Well at least you know now and will be able to report future gains.

Thanks for all the info Captn, I made one the other day, new at this so I'm still working on the correct wrapping technique etc. I had a time finding the grippers but Menards has them.
