SWM convinced me to buy one. It is the best trimmer ever made. It cost me $10.00 at walmart. It can trim anything, I did eyebrows, nose, arms, and pubes, no razor burn waht so ever.

Awesome!!

By the way, with the 10 dollars did you get also the 14 piece grooming kit? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2980200193&category=11856)

No, the "Wal Mart Special" version only comes with the trimmer and a cleaning brush with the "eyebrow attachement".

I bought one a while back, and I wasn't all the impressed with it to be quite honest. Maybe my pubes are just thicker than Supra's and Still's, but that little bastard just couldn't make a dent in my hair down there.

I'll probably get one on my next trip to WalMart, too. Supra, how close does it shave, and have you got any nicks from it?

Hmm...I still don't believe this Micro Touch Trimmer can compare to a Mach3 razor, but if you're all happy with it then that's all that matters.

No sweat. I love historical epics in general, so I'm sure I'll enjoy the movie. I'm also eagerly waiting for "Hannibal" and "Alexander the Great".

Supra

Vin Diesel as Hannibal? That's anything but awesome... Hannibal was from Carthage, which was located in northern Africa. People from Africa are black, my friends. Hannibal himself was pitch black if my memory serves me correct...so if they're looking to have historical accuracy with this movie they're going to need to cast an African-American actor (perhaps Denzel Washington).

Hannibal was from Carthage, which was located in northern Africa.

Present day Tunisia, to be specific, which is between Algeria and Libya.

Ever seen a Tunisian? They, along with most north Africans are MUCH fairer skinned than those from sub-Saharan Africa. I'd say Diesel's skin tone is a pretty good match to their present look.

I somehow doubt that there are polaroids of the man floating around. To build on my above point, Carthage was settled by the Phoenicians, who were Semites from what is now Lebanon and Syria. Again, I think Diesel's look is pretty apt.

Every history course I've ever taken has told me that Hannibal was extremely dark complected. Of course there were no photographs to back it up, but there have been written documents found from botht hose who served under him and those with whom he waged war that confirmed this... Unless my sources are completely flawed, I still believe he was very much dark complected.

Brad Pitt Will be playing Achillies.

Eric Bana will be playing Hector

For the historians of the time, Hannibal looked dark, but he wasn't an African American. As it was said, Carthaginians had the same roots as the Phoenicians and also modern day Palestinians.

What evidence did the teachers and/or text give to back up the assertion?

Also, Supra, or another mod, if it's possible, you might want to make the history part of this thread its own thread in deep thoughts so it doesn't cloud the PE portion.

Vin Diesel is mixed. He has black and I think irish to him. Look on the net for a bit and you'll see what I am talking about. Officially he doesn't discuss it, but the kids he went to school with and grew up ratted him out.

They never really cited their sources for the statement. I just assumed that since they had obtained at least a masters in history they would know what they were talking about so I never thought to delve any deeper into the subject.

The vast majority of teachers I've had personal dealings with (especially on a collegiate level) have a very leftist political agenda, and have no reticence about using that agenda as a driving force in their profession. If one told me the sky were blue, I'd look out the window before believing it.

I bought one for 9 dollars and change at Walmart and its a peice of crap. I wouldn't recommend it, it didn't cut through my hair.

Gandolf, how thick and coarse is your hair?

Also, to the others, what section is this in at walmart? I've got a super-center near me and walked around for a while looking for this. It wasn't by the checkout counter, either.

No but its about $6 less on Ebay without the Grooming Kit and I dont think the grooming kit is worth $6.

I guess not since he wasn't from "AMERICA". What people are trying to say is they should have someone dark-skinned play him. Colin Powell is African American, could he play him? I am pretty sure Vin Diesel is African American, at least 1/4 or 1/2.
WHo do you guys think should have played him, Dijmon Hounsou?

I went back to Walmart today and they had them in. I've only used it on my nose so far, but it really did clear out the forest in there.
