Hanging 101 + Sample Routine Post #1

1. This can not be emphasized enough -- pain is BAD!!! If it's anything beyond a dull burn, you're doing something wrong.

2. Never hang erect or partially erect!

3. Before hanging, remember to warm-up the area with a hot rice sock, heating pad or hot towel.

4. Limit sets to 20 minutes, followed by a 10 minute break and at least a couple of minutes of light jelqing to restore circulation.

5. Pay close attention to the color/temperature of your glans. Dark/cold=bad.

6. Remember to squeeze the blood from the glans while you're attaching your hanger.

7. Start your Thera-Band/swimcap material back a quarter of an inch from the beginning of your cotton wrap.

8. Retighten hanger after weight is applied.

9. Hanging is not a weight lifting competition. Too much, too soon will do more to slow down your overall gains than too little will. Start with a pound or two and move up very, very gradually, adding a pound or two after each week of hanging. Below is a copy of ledzep's beginning hanging record as an example.



Month 1 -- 5 pounds -- 5 days per week -- 45 minutes per day


Month 2 -- 7 pounds -- 5 days per week -- 45 minutes per day


Month 3 -- 10 pounds -- 5 days per week -- 60 minutes per day


Month 4 -- 12.5/15 pounds - 5/6 days per week -- 60 minutes per day

Supra, Thanks for this routine. I just started and was trying to figure out whats right for me. This really helped provide a starting point. Although I went with three 20 minutes sets @ 4lbs to start. Just works for me.

Just one question: When I hang I stretch out the penis and wrap it in a good sports wrap, but I find that when I do this it ends up slightly twisted in the direction I wrapped it. Anything to be concerned about with that?

Incidentally, it doesn't result in any pain or discomfort.

I have not heard of hanging contributing to a thrombosis. But, if you already have one, I would let it heal before beginning.

Basically I want to gain some length/girth but I'm not looking to be massively huge just some solid "above average" size you know. And I think stretching/hanging will be the easiest and less time consuming method for me. So my question is, Supra since you seem to know a bit about hanging (I have DLD's guide for stretching) One, where can I get the best device for a hang setup talking weight holder and shaft device. Two, what are the most likely gains following this type of routine?

You squeeze out the glans to prevent any kind of pressure on them to prevent bursting blood vessels and the like. When you hang the weight pulls the penis skin/blood and everything towards the head. If your head is already full of blood pulling more to it will cause trouble.

I just started hanging and I'm wondering if i use some pe pills like vimax from vimax.com will it just enhance and quicken my enlargement results?

i use to take these and they gave me harder longer erections and but never really gave me any length. so will they just help to have longer erections or will they just boost my results from hanging?

I would appreciate if someone could give me guidance.

pills are good for girth work. they wont make you bigger longer or whatever the add says. the just give you more blood flow. unless they soften tissues or ligs or something probably not going to help. but your choice never know

Does one have to do anything before hanging? I mean, if one has never done any PE before, can they buy a BIB and start hanging slowly? Will they gain this way? Is it safe?

Any help or reading material would be greatly appreciated.

It is generally advised that hanging should be done only by those who have already conditioned their dicks with 6 months or so of manual PE.

I would guess that with a join date of Sept 07 you have already met that criteria.

yes you do have to do one very important thing before hanging weights off your penis- EDUCATE YOURSELF. this forum is a great place, this section. i especially recommend BIBHANGER.COM, the faq section is great and especially the forum there. READ AS MUCH AS YOU CAN on the subject, heed the vets advice here and over there, and be patient with yourself! anything worth doing is worth doing right. cheers! :)

If there's no stabbing, searing, sharp pain involved, then what you're experiencing sounds mostly like ligament pops. Which are about as harmful, or harmless, as krakkin' yer knuckles.

I think a productive set can last anywhere from 10-30 minutes.

Is it possible to have some increase in glans size from blood being pushed downwards (towards the glans), despite squeezing blood out while attaching the hanger? I want to avoid that at all costs, so i make sure i pulse it several times, as well as when the hanger is on.

Is some reddening also alright after i take off the hanger? it looks like a just-finished-with-a-hot-wrap type reddish color, i am hoping it has to do with circulation...

It's best not to complicate your hanging by trying to work your glans at the same time. Separately, at another time, you can do manual pressuring of your mushroom. There are several exercises for that, starting with jelqing, anything that raises pressure in the mushroom.

If reddening goes away, it's OK. Extreme hanging is something else again, and I didn't do it for the first six years. I have shaft and glans bruising all the time, and have to do lots of massage to keep it red not brown. It gets purple but can be brought back to red. Nuts, yeah.

I didn't see anything wrong with 20 minute sets to around 25 pounds, maybe more. 30 minutes might be OK under 20 pounds, or what? Over 25 pounds and I think a lot of us start coming down to 10-15 minutes per set. 40 pounds and up and I just can't do very long sets. If it hurts there's probably a reason :) I mean it will show.

Thinking back I believe my sets were always around 15 minutes with a 5 minute break in between sets. I would go all day most of the time as I had a lot of privacy.

Well i want to prevent glans expansion at all costs, so if i just pulse it before hanging and keep an eye on the color, i wont have to worry about it? I feel my glans is out of proportion with my shaft, so i am working on catching the shaft up to it.

Last night was my first experience with hanging, and i used the smallest weight i could find (2.5 lb plate) for a ten minute set, a long break, and a 15 minute set. Today my coloration has returned to normal so i think with massage and a heating pad i should be good. It will be a while before i consider any extreme hanging lol

If we remove the cube grid from an ice tray, fill it and freeze a long slab of ice, then prop the slab in the freezer so half is cantilevered, or unsupported underneath, then some day the unsupported ice will have bent down until it found support.

That's what DLD' 15 minutes hanging, 5 minutes off, ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, until your dick reaches support on the FLOOR, sounds like. Whatever it takes. Git 'er done. I'm adding minutes by reducing weight, headed that way.

What about my glans taking on a slight purple tint while hanging? is that cause for concern?

I have been hanging for 3 days total so far ( two days on, one off; and at 2.5 lbs for two sets of 15 minutes), and i have a light purple splotch at the base of my glans. Should i keep hanging, or take a day or two off?

Purple is normal and will not cause issues if your sets are not too long. When I hang my sets go no longer than 15 minutes, In the SizeGenetics, no more than 60 minutes.

this routine doesnt make sense. according to bib youre never suppose to take a day off. ive been hanging for almost 5 weeks now and its stuff like this that discourages the living sh*t out of me.i literally have no extra time in my life and im taking away from what little time i do have hanging weights off my penis getting advice from people that hardly ever give a straight answer. talking about EXTREMELY FAST GAINS OMGGGZZZ!!! well for the past 35 ish days after working a 10-12 hour workday i come home stand here and hang weight off my penis. 35 straight days of wasting a guaranteed 1.5 hour and most of the time 2 doing this and i have nothing to show yet. not 1/10th of an inch. im started to get very frustrated. im continuing for another 8 weeks. and if i dont have a measurable gain im quitting and i dont care if im the next guy in the paper suing for my money and time back. like that guy who wore the extender for 500 hours and nothing happened. this would be so f*cked up if this shit was fake. i cant even explain to you. im wasting away my life attaching weights to my penis. this is ludicrous.

can anybody answere this becuse my routine is like 20 - 30 minutes with 2-4 minutes brakes and no jelqing, i do 3 sets of 5 pounds. and this is me first week in to hanging

1. is jelqing necessary between sets

2. is 30 minutes to mutch for a beginer ( i do not have no problem with it my glands always gets very purple and cold but it is red and beutiful just seconds after i take me BIB of. is this ok ?

3. is 2-4 minutes enough breake between sets, and if it is not way. Because the blood is starting to run throug the penis and is 2 minutes of that not enough ?
