View Full Version : What instrument do you use to measure girth?
???? You can't use a ruler and I don't have tape measurer. What can I use?
I just use a strand of string. Mark it and hold it up against a ruler.

I use a cloth measuring tape. But you can also use a strip of paper 1" wide. Mark it where they overlap and use the ruler to get measurement number. Much easier than a string in some ways.
I use a soft plastic tape measurer, like the type tailors use. I employ it for both length and girth measurements.

don't use thick string or nothing, it'll mess up your measuring, use the thinnest thing you can find, like a piece of paper. better yet, make aa ruler out of a piece of paper
