View Full Version : The foam ring is total crap, the strap quality isn't as good as expected.

My SizeGenetics just arrived, faster than expected they obviously shipped it via dhl while I payed only for regular shipping :)

After struggling for what seemed like an hour I ditched the foam ring.
The problem is it is so soft and light that slippage is almost certain for even a little traction. The good thing is I had a sheet of insulating foam here which I cut a strip off from. I think it is a audio absorber foam or something this stuff is really heavy and feels completely different to the foam ring. About an inch thick and obviously of superior quality.

While I am still struggling to find the right amount of it at least I can use it (Only trying to use the strap only seems impossible it pinches the skin even before it is fastened in any way)

On this whole strap breakage issue: Well, either I tore a small crack in it in my initial attempt under the 'flaps' or it came like that already. >:(
It works I nearly got to the first traction mark but that is the least of it.

After this session I'll get myself some velcro band and screw the god damn strap.

Yeah here is how it looks now, I hope it works had no thumbnail.
pretty comfy depending on how well the foam is fixed.
I just use a single strip of foam right now, but I already have a better idea.

I am thinking of glueing a piece of foam onto the strap cutting a foam piece so that is fits inside the plastic part. This should fix the issue of slipping, because right now I have to be pretty careful with holding the foam in place and fixing the strap at the same time.
Will post pictures when I'm done..

I am going to order some cheap straps on ebay and try it on them, in case this doesn't work, and I' need them anyway. I thought about the Velcro band isn't it even harder to mount than the strap?

better? It show for me though. I've used some lossless jpeg resize tool, I'd have to remember that this causes problems.

Where did you find those same types of straps on ebay as what came with the sizegentics extender. I keep seeing people say they found some on there, but I have not been able to find them, only the noose style ones have I found. I was also pissed when my strap broke after only a few uses.
Thanks.

Oh, yes, you did, LOL, sorry. I did check out the link, and saw that it was written in (German? I think that is.) I can only read English and Russian (though not enough Russian to try and order something on line).

Thanks for sending that to me, again, LOL.
