I wasn't going to make it a thread but I thought about it again this morning and I've seen plenty of short threads so I thought I would just make one.
A couple weeks ago one morning I saw a girl wearing a pink tank top with the big bold letters across the front, "WANNA MAKE OUT", and I thought it's 2011, how long do you think it will be before girls just start wearing shirts with the big bold letters, "WHORE" across their chest, are they doing that yet in some places?
I thought of it again and decided to make a thread on it because on the way downtown today I saw a clothing store with small dresses in the window. The words on the window said "FASHION, SEXY GIRLS", and I thought "AND WHORES". The dresses look like you would wear them on the ho strip, I mean it doesn't leave much to the imagination. I'm just wondering how it is that is ok.

I find it a complete 100% turn OFF and disgusting when I see these logos. Now back in the older days if it were a slut for a 1NS I wanted this would be good but society now has it walking in broad daylight. Perhaps we should become Muslims and cover up!

That's funny because I am actually very interested in regularly attending Buddhist church and it has a lot to do with this.

I saw a girl walking into a store with a guy today (I see this often). She was wearing thigh high boots, skin tight jeans, a cheetah print top exaggerating her boobs, long hair, and the rest of the accessories. The guy had on long socks up to his calf, baggy tan dicky shorts down to his socks, baggy white t shirt down to his thighs, and a hat. I was thinking about that and I can't understand how the world is so contradicting. At the bus stop there is a girl wearing tight jeans and a tight shirt, and next to her is a chubby guy wearing baggy pants and a baggy shirt. Personally I hate going outside sometimes. Why are males expected to cover up from head to toe and its supposedly goodlooking? Because he has a penis so he has to wrap up like an eskimo? Men don't get any leverage that way, I have rarely been watching t.v. and seen a guy who is equally attractive as the women portrayed. I don't mean as in feminine either. Makes me upset really. Women keep their skin nice into old age, hair, lifestyle; its all about beauty. And men have to be ugly? I think it used to be the other way around 100's of years ago where men would dress more provocatively and women use to be covered up. Either way is wrong. Now-a-days women look the way the girl does in the picture Still posted and that is average. I just feel like the one who's wrong, confused, and missing out.

But when you dress like this you have to be prepared for the type of attention you will get. I don't think it is a good idea for a girl to dress like a slut for the simple reason there are bad people in the world. Regardless if she is a slut or not, some men will take it the wrong way. If my daughter dressed like that I would put her in rehab!

I'm All for not hating and appreciating, BUT these are the people hating on me because I don't dress like the socially accepted male and I don't feel like its right for them to be able to get away with it and I have to live like a bundled up disgrace. I have a good body and I love it and I also do not think dressing like a whore is acceptable either. It's one thing to wear clothes that look good and its another to walk around practically naked.

Taking this whole thread a little further, let's flip to the other side of the coin. I as a man cannot walk down the street with a big bulge proudly showing because that would be considered "eww" or disgusting because it's my penis I'd be flaunting. A woman however can wear next to nothing and usually suffer no criticism. Gotta love culture.

Nothing wrong with it at all, they can dress how they wish it has nothing to do with anyone. You cant dress like that in countries like Iran obviously. I'm also very liberal, even though you may assume the opposite. We're talking about why women dress like that I think? I see many reasons as I already cited and being honest nowadays dont find it sexy in a women I would want to date or setup camp with but looks good on a slut and as DLD put it;
But when you dress like this you have to be prepared for the type of attention you will get. I agree albeit I wouldn't feel good doing the bulge thing :) Not got the confidence to pull it off right now but know the feeling from wearing tight shirts that would show off my arms really well and tight jeans so my legs were really showing. You do get odd looks, even though your just displaying masculine qualities and no a women walking half naked down the street is NOT feminine, its cheap.
Go to Italy and Spain you will see women dress pretty conservative or respectful I would say but still look REALLY sexy yet classy. I know cos I have been many times. The women on the whole are confident, know what they want and dont need to show off flesh to know they are sexy and certainly need no approval from a man to know that!! unlike the women of western countries who are reading too much and watching too much shit off the t.v and not applying true etiquette in how a sexy women should behave.
Dont believe me? fine. Visit Spain and go into the clubs, sure you'll have the odd native who dresses revealing but most will be much more covered up than we see in western nations. They look more hotter that's for sure because offering too much on a plate is off putting, it shows desperation which is why I know girls do it at the weekends ... to get a fuck basically and they know gullible desperate men await them and often do literally line up :) Been there and done it but when you taste the caviare why go back?

Nope. It's not culture's fault. It's the undisputable fact that the female body is much more attractive than the male body. And I believe that even women would agree on this. :) I mean, even they get attracted to a nice set of breasts.
The fact that the female body is curvy all over makes it much more appealing.
Now, you may have a point there about the bulge thing. I have no experience of people being disgusted by my bulge. In fact, I know my girlfriend loves it when I get one, and she doesn't mind showing me off when it happens rofl.
Either way, people going "eww" on a guy's bulge would be nonsense. I mean, if a guy has it, what do people expect him to do? Tuck it in between the legs and shove it up the a-hole? Besides, if a guy has big balls, where is he going to tuck them? Something has to show.
Too bad for those who don't like it.
I'm not in favour of showing off indiscriminately and without any kind of good judgement, but I also believe there are limits as to what a person should be "forced" to conceal.
As for the ladies who like to show off their goods... well, if they're hot, I enjoy the view, and if they're not, I look away. Simple as that.
Having said that, the truth is that there is a huge lack of judgement in clothing nowadays... and good taste seems to be absent too.

This is where-in lies the problem, it is just NOT TRUE. It is a stereotypical thought people are tricked by. How is it ok for a women to like another woman's breasts and if a guy likes another guys bulge??? That's gross. No trust me it has nothing to do with a woman's body is sexier than a man's body. If a guy has a really nice body, and face, all women will want his clothes torn off and it is the culture in our society who will hate same sex implications. Gay sex does not turn me on, I have never been attracted to it, but I am also not attracted to a lot of other taboo and/or sexual identities in the world. Does it mean other people's turn-on's are gross? Not to them. I have seen a few man on man videos that would probably surprise you how not gross these male physiques can become. I'll give you an example, his name is Brent Everett and if you Google his pictures he is perfectly symmetrical in his face body and penis. I saw a video where he was banging another good looking young guy not muscular and very well hung. You would be surprised at how natural it looks. Ok my point I am trying to make is for the people into that, it is not "gross". I'm sure plenty of the guys on this site would be like ewww this is too gay to read, and you know what that is? Immaturity. So you saying "good taste seems to be absent" is a sign of a truly very immature culture. I understand your post is not anti gay at all and you are not disagreeing with the original concept, I'm just making a statement that the male body is not more unattractive than the female. This is what has me so upset. Women get away with beauty and men have huge problems with insecurity, loneliness, dissatisfaction, and it is not fair because it is unbalanced. Our culture accepts it. People are so obsessed with sex I'm just wondering when it will be acceptable for women to be walking around naked and men to be dressing like they are going to the Arctic, it already is very close.

OOOOOOOOOKAY, so I guess I either was misinterpreted or I wasn't able to express myself the way I wanted to. :)
First of all, I didn't say the male body was unattractive. I said the female body is more attractive than the male body.
I can perfectly acnowledge when I find another man's body/face attractive or not. It's quite simple for me, actually – if I can say that a guy is fucking ugly, that means I have a certain standard of aesthetics and, therefore, I can also say that a guy is good looking, handsome, hot, or whatever.
Also, besides the fact that I have no prejudice against gay people, I know how to separate things. Homosexuality is about having feelings for a person of the same sex, it is not just about looking at them and being able to tell if they are good looking or not.
The fact of the matter, for me anyway, is that if you put an attractive woman and an attractive man side by side, the odds of winning a " who's hotter" contest are probably on the woman. And I don't believe it's just my personal opinion.
It has to do with shapes. What kind of shapes do you find more pleasent to the eyes? Round shapes, or angled, edged shapes?
The female shape is all curves (some have more than others :P), it is more delicate, it is softer, smoother. That's what makes it, in general, more attractive than the male's sharper, rougher, more straight lined shape.
That is not to say that Playgirl's Mister July isn't one hell of an attractive guy. I'm just talking about what I believe happens generally.
Now, as for my statement that "good taste seems to be absent", it was exclusively related with clothing and... oh, well, etiquette, basically. It had absolutely nothing to do with sexual orientation and/or promiscuity :)
"Women get away with beauty and men have huge problems with insecurity, loneliness, dissatisfaction, and it is not fair because it is unbalanced"
Well, this is true to some extent, but I believe it's changing. Metrosexual guys are the living proof that men are starting to come out of that insecurity and dissatisfaction. It's just that society takes its time to adapt to these things.
I hope I was able to be a bit clearer this time :)
@stillwantmore2
I hope my extense reply above helped you understand what I meant. :)
Anyway, I can say that one of the reasons why that sculpture is so world renowned is because it was so masterfully crafted.
Yes, of course the other reasons are related to the aesthetics of the male form (although he could have used some PE back then rofl).
But how many guys do you know that have a body like that, or close to it?
My point is, to sum it up, that it is much easier to find something attractive in a woman than in a man. Three words could sum this up: TITS AND ASS! :P
The areas in a woman's body where men tend to look at in a sexual way are much more exposed than in a man's body.
What can the ladies check out on a guy other than his ass and, for the showers, the bulge (nevermind the bulge if he's a grower)? There's not much they can feast their eyes on until they take our clothes off. We, on the other hand, have a lot to check out on a clothed woman.
That was my point :)
I hope this made some sense rofl

I'm like DLD-I have no fucking clue. I mean if he has lots of scars or one eye is an inch lower or something... I assume he's not good looking but I really feel like it's a language I just don't speak. There are men (actors) that I like to watch due to mannerisms and such, like Sideshow Luke Perry or Christian Bale or Gary Oldman. But it has nothing to do with their looks, just mannerisms and acting ability or even personalty traits. But this is more like "yea, I bet he'd be fun to hang out with"
Personally, I just always assumed this was a side effect of being heterosexual. Without attraction to the same sex, one is without a compass on the attractiveness of the same sex-makes sense to me. On that note-it does however seem that most women can judge if another woman is attractive... so by my tight logic, most women have some amount of lesbianism in them.... again, this works just fine for me :)
EDIT: A curious thing just struck me.... I also have no clue at all how attractive I am... So I was wondering-guys that CAN tell how attractive another male is, I wonder if they know (somewhat objectively) how attractive they themselves are???

OOOOOOOOOKAY
I never said you said anything about the male body not being attractive, I said what you said, that the male body is not as attractive. I remained in your words that it is not less equal than an attractive female body. Curves or Sharp edges that is up to who's perceiving the image. Personally I would not be trying to make my body like a females if I did not feel more attractive this way so I understand what you are saying but I am just in disagreement that females are sexier than men's bodies on an exclusive level. I'm attracted to fatter guys actually, mid 40's, Jewish ethnicity, it's not exact or anything, its just what I like. So plenty of hot girls in my area have given me looks and I feel nothing for them but you may feel extra excited by them. My point is that what a majority of people like does not mean what not the majority of people like is not equally as good. We buy into this fad too much of what others think and the label becomes fact when it is truly mythological. :)

Well, to answer your last question, I know I am somewhat attractive. But it's a mix of what my beauty standards are and of information I've picked up here and there, comments I got from girls, etc.
For instance:
• my face is fairly symmetrical, and symmetry is one of the features that is appreciated in general;
• I have a well defined jaw line. Women tend to appreciate that as a manly feature, I think;
• I have very short hair (not quite military style, but close), which, although it doesn't give me that wild, Tarzan style, gives me a neat, organized style;
• I do not have piercing, deep blue eyes, but I do have very dark brown eyes. This contributes to make it look like my pupil is more dialated, giving me a... "cuter" look, so to speak (as in that Shrek's Puss in Boots look). So I "have" the manliness of my jaw line and the cuteness of my dark eyes.
This being said, I have no idea of how attractive I am or am not. I just know that I have gotten some compliments, and still do occasionaly, but there are loads of other women who don't seem to be attracted to me at all. Where does that leave me? Am I hot or not?
I can't really tell. :)
All I know is that I like what I see in the mirror (although I've had better days in the past) and that I have a high enoug self esteem to allow me to know that I am not a bad piece of a man.
If you pay attention to what women say and you start looking in the mirror searching for your qualities, you'll soon realize if your good looking or not. And, when in doubt, why not ask a woman who's a friend of yours? :P
Oh, and once again, don't mix sexuality with opinions. Just because you are able to say "that guy is good looking" it doesn't mean you will ever want to bone him rofl It just means that, in the back of your mind, you're thinking "now there's a look I wouldn't mind having". There, it's as simple as that. :)

Good response! I know my positive attributes somewhat. I do have piecing blue eyes so this may be good to some women. I am hairy chested and some girls do like this, many don't. I am extremely intelligent but this usually is a deficit when it comes to women. I am extremely dependable, when I say I will do something I do it, which is a good thing. I have a huge head of hair and will never lose it so I am happy about that:) I dress the same each day, shorts and Ralph Lauren Polo, pumas and a kangol,,,, not sure if that is good or bad but I am comfortable. I don't know, I guess when love comes back into my life my attractiveness will be more evident:)

Fair enough-but it shoots down my theory that all women are secretly lesbians-so that part is a downer.
I look in the mirror plenty and I don't think I have anymore clue today than 20 years ago....
Also as far as asking women-well, if we could get an honest answer out of them they would say "Yes, Size DOES Matter."
They sugarcoat shit, even a friend, you can't get the simple truth from a woman... that's just crazy talk *shakes head violently*

There is a study by Sigmund Freud where he believed all humans are born bisexual, here is brief synapses of his theory: Innate Bisexuality (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innate_bisexuality)

Most of Freud's theories are today considered complete nonsense and have been debunked.
Psychology has grown so much since Freud that he really isn't worth mentioning today in any realistic sense from Behavioral Psychology to Analytical... Freud is almost a joke at this point.
Point being... backing a point with a Freud theory is at the very least, counterproductive.

Freud is respected with Psychoanalysis but yeah allot of his original theories were perverted :) Like in his view it was NORMAL for all boys to want to fuck the mother and kill the father! Than we had the little penis complex etc but some of what he did was valid. At the very least he went into areas no one had before ventured and made it more obvious different problems were around with folk than what the other wackos would agree on.

No question his importance to psychology was crucial and he was a head of his time. But he made too many generalizations and assumptions when there are very few absolutes in life.

I saw a girl today and she was wearing "Hand Touch" on her butt. She was sitting on the left half of the letter "H" so it could have been "2 Hand Touch" or something. Just something else I saw and I was like wtf? How about "Enter" with an arrow? Yeah how about if guys wear those on the zipper? So cool! Everyone should get them.

I'm going to be honest, if I was in a relationship and I was fucking, this would have no effect on me. What other people do in their personal lives do not bother me it is their choice and the honest truth is I feel jealous. I do, there is nothing wrong with people dressing how they feel sexy and if they are ok with whoring around and fornicating with strangers; every night is a new pussy or dick- their business and just fine for them. For me I just think it looks unattractive to wear something like "Wanna Make Out", and she was pushing a baby in a stroller. You know it looks immature, I mean the girl/person I would want to make out with would not be a girl who has been making out all day with strangers.....So it comes down to overall I do not care first. Second I would dress sexier but I can't without getting hit on over and over besides I am horny usually so I keep myself away from feeling attractive. Lastly I just think a style presenting to the world you are some kind of promiscuous sex addict is immature and it is so widely embraced in the culture 2011 it really is sad that special part of love is thrown away and so many other fucked up bad things happen because of it.

If anything i wished some women dressed sexier.
For instance, girls who wear shorts or denim hot pants because they will be thought of as a slut if they wear a mini-skirt.
From my male point of view i find the mini skirt sexier.
