Feeling of unease while approaching women

Like most guys I get nervous while approaching women I like. There is a girl at work who I really like who causes me to stumble over my words like some silly school boy with a crush, lol. Everyone else thinks she is average, but I have made the mistake of elevating her to a position above what I feel I could achieve. My friend listened to me speaking to her the other day and couldn't believe how weak and needy I sounded. He said I was completely different to my normal chatty behaviour with everyone else.

I found this guy online. After reading a bit about EFT, I feel this therapy could hold benefits for all areas of life and not just destroying approach anxiety. He has many other videos on his page.

The best way to approach a woman is through compliments. This is difficult for a lot of us because we fear talking with the women so the solution, that has worked for me ALWAYS is not complimenting the women only, compliment everyone you see, guys, girls, whatever. If you give compliments to all you encounter it will be second nature to compliment the women you find attractive. Compliment all, they will feel better and treat you better and approaching women becomes easy. Plus, when you complement people they have a tendency to compliment you back which is a great bonus!

Thanks for the advice DLD. I think the only way to improve at these sorts of things is by trial and error. Sadly the error part is the end result if your approach is not up to scratch. I will include compliments in my trial part and see how that goes, lol
