    Its a cool video, I don't think I could use Dr. Mercola's tool though.

    I just checked Dr. pepper is in there.
    When you eat out it can be difficult to track, but if you "cook" from scratch most of the time, you can do it.

    Also the whole "in mdoeration" concept is pretty outdated, since a calorie isn't really a calorie

    A calorie is certainly a calorie. Whether it be fat, sugar, protein or anything else 1 calorie is 1 calorie. I lost my weight not using specific foods but counting calories. So I enjoyed ice cream, beef jerky and lots of other foods that may not be ideal for the typical diet but I dropped 60 pounds doing it.

    So True... Weight loss vs Fat loss
    You're talking about the calorie thermic effect of different macro-nutrients of Fats, Carbohydrates, and Proteins and how they burn differently once they are consumed in the body.

    If you eat less calories than your body burns, you will loose weight I am proof of that. A calorie is a calorie in that sense. How you which to spend them is a whole different deal, if you use em up on soda then you will be starving all day.

    Yes, you can create a calorie deficient with just consuming sugar/fat products and lose weight. Without the proper nutrients required for the organs, they will eventually begin to malfunction and create unhealthy medical issues. Proper nutrition is essential to healthy weight-loss.

    That's what I'm trying to do as of now. Caloric deficit, get all my nutrients in via vegetables and fruit, keep carbs down, and get hella protein to get lean muscle gains.

    Check out Kris Gethin - 12-Week Hardcore Training, this guy goes from looking bulky to looking JACKED in a several weeks.

    I didn't do the "HARDCORE" training so much, I studied his nutritional plan more than anything, and dropped 60 pounds within 10-12 weeks without feeling weak and lethargic, and I keep it off, maintaining my walk-around weight.

    I'm doing PHUL. So that I can train hypertrophy and strength at the same time. My caloric deficit is going good so far I'm seeing myself leaner and I just started like a week or 2 ago. After 4 weeks of total caloric deficit Im going to add light cardio then increase it over time to get the most from losing weight otherwise my body will adapt. I eat as much protein as possible and estimate calories in foods if the package was already trashed. I've been looking at nutrition for a long time a year ago or so when I was bulking so i can estimate calories, carbs, protein, and fats in foods very easily now. thank you

    You can never out-train a diet...

    Thanks. It's difficult so far finding enough protein in my meals since my mother cooks. I'm trying to get a job so i can buy my own food since food is basically 70% of results. I got an interview today actually, wish me luck!
