    Re: Thrombosed Vein -- Treatment

Well I've been through the whole phase of taking ibuprofen by itself for a couple of weeks nothing happened....I was actually one of the ones that listened to you, when I read the posts a while back.
How come everyone keeps on saying take aspirin if its useless?

lol yeah that goofy cream didnt do that much for me but I still use it anyway just in case, the whole niacin thing could just be a coincidence, its possible, but whatever works for a person go with it.

Niacin definately helps, but 50mg may be too small. I Take 400 MG a day and you can definately feel it working all over your body. WARNING: anyone who has not taken niacin(vitamin B3) before should start out with 100mg because it will burn like hell if you take too much. Niacin allows more blood to move through your capilaries and strongly promotes circulatory health and mental health.

    Re: Thrombosed Vein -- Treatment

I've had a small lump now on the right side of my penis for about a week and a half (since last Tuesday). It appeared about 24hrs after I had done Penis Enlargement, and on a rest day. I discovered the problem when I was about to have sex with my wife. I had been wearing a cockring all day and when I tried to remove it - PAIN with a capital "P." It felt like the entire right side of my shaft was on fire. After the cockring was removed, the inflammation and pain subsided somewhat, but was still present. I did end up having sex with my wife, which was not painful. However, after trying a hot-cold treatment, a lump appeared.

Over the course of a week, all pain has gone from the lump - but it is still there. I have done a couple of girth sessions since the lump appeared. The right side of my penis swelled up horribly with fluid the first time. The second time, there was no fluid buildup, but the skin above the lump was bruised/discolored. No pain.

Sometimes, I think that the lump has gotten smaller, and then, 10 minutes later, it is just as big as it was before. You can't really see the lump unless you press the area around it or tighten the skin. You can see it pop out during a constrictor.

At first, because of the burning sensation, I thought I had a spider bite. Some time passed and then I thought it might be a pimple or ingrown hair. Now, I'm thinking that it might be a thrombosed vein.

Does this sound like a thrombosed vein?

    Regards,

    HOOSYODADDI

Possible? Anyhow I have done some research on the net and found some sites on the topic, some even discuss it with regards to the penis.

You are awesome, RED! Those links were wonderful - very informative and relate directly to me. In fact, one of the links that you provided even gave me information about another issue that I have: drips of urine continue to come out after I take a piss. This has been going on for years. My doctor was very unhelpful and just told me to "shake it out" better. I can sit there and shake my dick all day, up and down, side to side - even do helicopters, and still the urine will drip out. I thought at first that doing the kegels would help, but they have had zero impact on this condition. Now I have a name(post micturition dribble) and solution for this problem.

As to aspirin - I'm allergic . I am afraid to take ibuprofen too, as it carries a warning for those that have allergies to other pain medications (aspirin). In any event, the lump seems to be subsiding gradually and should be gone shortly (hopefully within one more week at most). I've stopped doing all girth work, wet jelqing and hanging which seems to have helped the situation. "Leaving it alone" seems to be the ticket so far. I've had less sex too, but that's involuntary.
    lol

I was initially doing the hot/cold dips, but got lazy about it since I am habituated to using it in my girth routine. It's easier (and more visually rewarding) when my penis is pumped up from a girth session. I'm a grower, so it's also hard to do the hot/cold dips when totally flaccid. Excuses, excuses! - I know.

RED, thank you so much for taking the time to research and respond to my post. I sincerely hope that other MOS members read this thread and visit the links that you provide. The links provide specific information about what penile thrombosis is and how it's treated from the perspective of urologists. I feel a lot more secure now that I do indeed have thrombosis, that it is a non-threatening issue, and will resolve itself if not aggravated. Great post!

    Re: Thrombosed Vein -- Treatment

Here's a reply from a medical authority to a question asked on the subject.

George, what you are describing probably represents a thrombosis (clot) of a penile lymphatic vessel (not a vein). Lymphatics are tissue vessels that are present all over the body connecting lymph nodes. It is a distinctly separate system from blood vessels (arteries and veins). Rather than blood, the carry an opaque fluid called lymph. Their function is to keep the tissues healthy by filtering out harmful substances (such as bacteria, viruses, tumor cells, etc.) and enhancing immunity. Sometimes during sexual activity, the lymphatics get bruised resulting in subsequent clot formation. One notices a firm, often finely beaded vessel under the skin of the penis that is mildly tender. This is not a dangerous condition and the clot resolves on its own in a few weeks unless there is recurrent trauma to the area. Therefore you should stop massaging, squeezing, and pinching the area as this trauma hinders resolution of the clot by keeping the site irritated. Sexual intercourse or masturbation should only be restarted when the area is nontender and then only in moderation until the lesion has completely resolved. Obviously, all sexual activity until that time should be as gentle as possible under the circumstances. Good luck!

    Re: Thrombosed Vein -- Treatment

Thanks for this posting! I had a thrombosed vein on both sides, just below the head, for about a year before I went to a urologist. I got it from pumping with a vacuum pump, followed immediately by hanging weights on the penis. The pump instructions said to wait a half hour after pumping before adding weights, but I (stupidly) had forgotten these instructions. The urologist, who does penis enlargement surgery, told me this was phlebitis, and that it was very dangerous. He gave me a prescription (don't remember what, but it was strong), and the thrombosis went down in about ten days. I pumped again about two months later and it came back. This time it went away by itself in a couple of days. I've been afraid to pump any more, so I switched to jelquing. I've had no more problems. Hope this helps.

I've got a thrombossed that I've neglected to take care of for quite a while. I'm wondering if I can get away with normal(30min of intense stretches) stretching sessions daily as long as I take asprin and use hot wraps and message the member. Let me know what you think.

    Re: Thrombosed Vein -- Treatment

An anti-inflammitory is something that reduces inflamation, or swelling. A compress is a soft pad of gauze or other material applied with pressure to a part of the body to control hemorrhage or to supply heat, cold, moisture, or medication to alleviate pain or reduce infection. www.dictionary.com is your friend!

Anyways, I think I've developed one of these thrombosed veins. Mine occured after an intense wet-jelq session.. the second of the day (big mistake for a newbie....) All of a sudden a vein on the left side of my penis began to feel a little harder then it should, which surprised me.. At first I thought "Wow, I can't beleive how "hard" I am!" ..But soon it was obvious to me that it was abnormal because I realized that it was only that one thin vein and it felt like it had like these "beads" inside of it. The guitar string analogy is pretty accurate btw.. My case is unique though because it is not a very superficial vein.. see, I was like 108% erect and the vein only remained visible and was only thrombosing (that a word?) at that erection level. Kinda strange hu? I am positive that it is a thrombosed vein though because it fits the desciption.. Perhaps, with me it occured with a deeper vein because I was doing bending and jelqing, sometimes in combination.. dunno, but I learned my lesson.. I'm glad this informative thread is here too. Thanks! I understand exactly what this is now and how to remedy it. Luckily for me, it doesn't seem like a serious case at all. I did maybe about 4-5 jelqs (varied intensity) once it occured before I was like wtf is this?! There's no redness or swelling and the vein isn't visible while flacid AT ALL, although there is this faint hard to describe uncomfortable sensation.

K, one more thing.. someone mentioned not doing any girth work while the vein is healing but then recommended wet jelqing.. uhh did I miss something?! I was doing wet jelqing when this occured so uh, I don't think it's a good idea. Very careful, light stretching is definately all I'll be doing (IF that) until I'm 110% sure it's healed. :hammering

Well add me to the list of T.V
Very mad at myself for getting it. I stepped up the intense jelq and then had a pull after, blowing a nice load. Went and had a shower a bingo found it on the left side just below head.
    Not happy jan..........

    Re: Thrombosed Vein -- Treatment

By definiton are thrombosed veins ALWAYS in a hardened state? I'm a little confused here because my supposed thrombosed vein only 'acts up' when I have an erection but it sounds like for many of you it's always hardened.

I think I need to get my hands on some ibuprofen.. I've been doing short, infrequent, low intensity workouts for 2 weeks simply hoping it would go away but it's still acting up..

    Re: Thrombosed Vein -- Treatment

Mine was like bits of rice under the skin.
    Anyway all gone now.

What I did and I don't know if it works for others but here goes.

    1st 24 hours..
    No Penis Enlargement
    Took some ibuprofen.
    Hot and cold dips.
Then took a shower letting hot water run over penis.
Started to massage area with a bit of pressure.
Felt a pop/release and it halved in size.
Stopped massage and just heated area with hot water.
    Went to bed.

    Next 24 hours..
    No Penis Enlargement.
Continued to take ibuprofen during the day.
Took aspirin about 1 hour before bath.
Took a hot bath where I again massaged area with a bit of pressure.
    Nothing happened this time.
2 hours later while wife asleep and me looking at porn I decided to have a really careful wank.
Finished and had a shower to clean up.
Massaged area with bit of pressure.
Again felt the same feeling of release and gone.
    Went to bed.

Injured penis on mon night and by wed night area back to looking and feeling normal.
While the knotted/blocked vain was there, area was painful.

Since then I have reintroduced Penis master device with heat pack before and after.
Yet to start jelqing but have had some great sex with wife and everything still good.

    Good luck

    Re: Thrombosed Vein -- Treatment

Mine has cleared up as well. What I did that may have helped it heal (besides waiting (time) and taking it easy) was drink LOTS of water and do that hot/cold healing method that RedZulu2003 mentioned. The vein appears more prominent than it did before the accident, but I'm pretty sure it has healed up 100%. Still being very cautious though...
