Hydromax problem. sucks air in after every pump.

I've been using a Goliath, bought a hydromax to try.

I pump water out, then it sucks air right back in the tip.

I have this same issue. I am glad I found another thread. I just received my BathMate 3 days ago. The instructions say to:
1. Slide value to lock position.
2. Fill BathMate
3. Place over penis, align.
4. Slide value to open and being pumping.

This results in water being pumped out when I pull towards my body (as normal from what I gather) but when I release it sucks air in. Here is how I have been using the BathMate:
1. Slide value to lock position.
2. Fill BathMate
3. Place over penis, align.
4. Slide value to open and pull towards my body.
5. After pulling it most of the way (water shoots out while pulling) I slide the valve back to locked while still holding it down.
6. Slowly let go of bathmate and suction is felt.

If I want to increase pressue I repeat step 4-6 pulling it closer to my body.

Since it was contrary to the instructions I wasn't sure if something was wrong. It seems like the post above confirms that his two units are operating differently. I would like to not send this back if possible since I don't want to break my routine that I am starting. By using it in this "work-around" method is it hazardous? My penis after repeating steps 4-6 over the course of 2-3 minutes my penis looks rather large inside so I would guess it is working, but wanted to be sure.

I can get mine to work by locking and unlocking also, kinda. It always sucks a little air in the tip.
I'm back to using my goliath for now as the hydromax only works properly in the bath.

Do you think you may be using the pump upside down? If the instructions seem backwards maybe this is the issue? Where are you positioning the angled portion of the gaiter?

Well to clarify the air that gets sucked back in comes from the top, not the base. To answer your question I have the gauge with the sticker on the top so I can read it. I figured that when it is positioned correctly you should be able to read it so that is what I have been doing.

Also, I can get suction and expansion during a session it just seems like I have to work the valve manually to accomplish it. I just don't know if I am using the product effectively.

The valve is confusing but it sounds like you have mastered it if you are getting good expansion. There are 3 positions, one to lock, one to draw in and one to expel.

If air comes in, you are not getting an airtight seal. I would suggest not using the comfort ring in the shower unless you are shaved/trimmed.

My X30 has 3 positions, but only 2 options Open and Locked. Locked being left/right and Open in the middle. Is that the new new valve you were talking about?

Right, I meant expel and draw in, being the second position. The same valve was in all of my BathMate Hercules samples that arrived for the video shoot.

As I mentioned in my post above, the air that gets drawn back in comes from the valve, not the side against my body. I have to slide to open, pull to my body and then slide to locked before letting go. Does this mean I have a bad valve?

I always have a little bubble of air right under the valve. As soon as a emerge it from the water while in the bath a little air will come in through the valve yep. I'm talking about a tiny bit.

I start pumping right away and as soon as you start pumping you will create a vacuum sucking/locking the valve in place. No mare air can come in but water can be pumped out.

If your dick doesn't expand and you are unable to get a vacuum when pumping.. then you have a broken valve/bathmate.

Edit: i never lock the valve.. but then again i only use it in the bath. what im trying to say is you dont need to lock it since the vacuum locks its for you.

Hey guys, being using my new hydromax for about 5 days going in flaccid and pumping every three minutes or so trying to go to max pressure, but the thing is, whether I do 3-4 6 minute sessions with 1 minute rest in between just massaging my dick (no jelks, no SSJ) or one 20-25 minute session, at the end I dont get any fluid retention whatsoever nor red dots, just a little bit of a purple dick that goes almost instantly and some 10 minute temporary gains and then my dick goes completely back to normal as if I didn't pump at all... Is this normal or has anyone experienced the same thing?

That is just what is supposed to happen. Over time the temporary gains become permanent and new temporary gains will appear. To help speed the process look into the SRT Routine, this makes the gains come even faster.
