Yeah, consider New Skin or some other spray that's mentioned in that thread. Or I think you'll be fine if your local plaster spray making a hard shell like M&M as they're talking about in the thread.

Many of them said it does work like magic. If it's available to you and is cheap, give it a try.

I agree, protector caps don't help if the pressure is too much and using for long(I don't know about the pumping, but I got blisters with stretching). Anyway, have you tried 'New Skin liquid bandage'? have seen couple of people talking its preventing the blisters for them...
