The Debate Over ����������� with Ron Jeremy

A local college is having a debate with a former sex addict, and former ���� star Ron Jeremy, it is on Jan 29 and is free to the public. The artical states it "will feature a two-hour debate and Q-and-A about the merits of �����������, who it benefits and whether it's degrading to women."

Why is ���� always considered degrading to women? What about men? Look at the male ���� stars, almost all of them have big to huge dicks, where it can effect a mans self preception of his dick. And then the women of ���� get paid on average way more than the man. what profession in america can say that? Where the men get the short end of the stick. Well execpt the producers of it. A mans money shot is good for nearly nothing, while a womans ability to fake an orgasam or two is worth near gold?

I gotta go to this debate, I think it would be cool, does antbody have any questions that you would ask during the debate just in case I get a chance to ask a few?

i never really thought about the male negative aspects of ����, but now that you mention it, brilliant! i wouldnt call it degredation of men though.

This debate with Ron Jeremy has been touring around to different colleges and venues for years. I've heard that it's actually very entertaining, but the crowds are almost always universally biased towards Jeremy, which takes some of the spirit out of having an actually substantive debate.

The issue about degradation to women have more to do with the perception of women and sex in larger society, particularly in terms of objectification of the female body and turning sex into a commodity rather than an expression of love or committment. It basically comes down to a moralist vs. libertine argument, although I have gathered that Ron Jeremy does make some points about the less prestigious roles of men in ������������ media.

I believe there's also some discussion about the way women are presented and the conventions of �����������, including things like facials, gang bangs, and the more brutal elements in some gonzo ����. A case can be made that this goes beyond standard erotica into an area that is far more obsessed with male domination over women and sexual anger. Anybody who has spent any time looking at ����������� on the internet knows that there is an abundance of sites that focus on "gagging" and "choke" ����, or more violent incarnations where the women are slapped around and made to appear as if they're being forced into compliance with the scene. There is a pretty strong case made by some, most of whom are sociologists and psychologists rather than christian censors or feminists, that this sort of ����������� can have a pretty negative impact on the adolescents that will undoubtedly discover it online.

I have always believed that 95% of it boils down to an individuals perception. The BOTTOM LINE on the whole "which sex is actually being degraded" issue is the fact that at the end of the day, the actors are getting paid to give their performance on camera. Whether or not it's perceived to be "degrading" is not what's important, it's about making the movies, filling the DEMAND for the content in the movies, etc. The ���� and ���� related industries gross anually more than all the sports industries combined. Stateside at least.

ANY action can be seen as degrading to ANY woman if that woman's perception of herself, at its very core, is that she is only worth degrading.

If you listen close enough to some, if not most, of these strident anti-���� protesters you won't ever hear rational arguments relating to a labor market; things like retirement funding, health & dental plans, workers comp. etc. etc.
You will, however hear all of their individual fears, tragedy's and paranoia's come spilling out in the form of accusation and derision and even outright hatred at some points.

I've always thought that the anti-���� crowd, (which is actually an anti-male crowd at closer examination), really should shut the fuck up and put their energy into something actually productive; my personal cause of choice would be taking women out of combat roles.

And if anybody really wants to hear me bloviate on that subject just lemme know and I'll start a new thread in Deep Thoughts.

This is why you're one of my favorite posters...provocative, lucid, and honest opinions...what are your thoughts on female snipers? Would they not perform as well as men when the time came to take a life, to save lives? It's something that can be argued all day I guess. I don't know, but I can see a trained Marine female at some point being able to do it as well as anyone because of a maternal instinct kind of thing mixing with the adrenaline. She would know full well what's at stake wouldn't she? I'm playing devil's advocate here though.

There remains the question of strength/endurance associated with infantry too. And how men and women might clash under fire. I don't know...how could I? I'm interested in reading that thread if you decide to create it.

But thanks for the nod of approval. I'm busy as all fuck right about now, but just for you 'n' Pandora I'll put finger to keyboard as soon as I can actually produce something coherent.

As a quick aside, I like playin' the Devil's Advocate myself...sometimes a little too often for some people's taste.
But I'm a firm believer that Man rises or falls in response to adversity; and which direction any particular individual chooses reveals much about their truest nature.
