"My experiences from 58 to 73"

I feel responsible to write some of my experiences here since long ago I found this site and it gained me a lot. I need to give back.

At about the age of 58 I started hanging . Not much to start, maybe a pound or so. I didn't check any changes for a while, but in a couple months I had gained .2". That gave me the confidence to carry on. I kept increasing the weight, until it was really heavy. 10-15 lbs. attached to my penis with a homemade choker behind the head and slung over my leg while I sat on the sofa drinking morning coffee and reading. It was quite difficult to keep it attached as the weight increased. By the age of 63 I had gone from 5 3/4 bone pressed to 7.2" bp. Girth around 5.8".

Just about then I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and underwent external beam radiation. I lost about a half an inch in length but didn't notice for a while what with the trauma of the cancer deal. It took 6 months before I became aware of it. I researched why this could happen. It turns out that the radiation causes the prostate to shrink considerably, and the volume of the expected change accounted for the length change. The urethra passes through the prostate and any change to the length of the urethra will impact the length of the penis. Certainly with prostate surgery this will happen even more.

I went back to hanging bigish weights. Next I got a Bathmate . Very happy with it. I used it very forcefully. I think I modified it to gain suction.

One day after using it, I started to pee blood. Then large blood clots. After a trip to the emergency room - several - this lasted all summer, it seemed as if life would never be the same again. I couldn't possibly detail what the next months were like. I had radiation cystitus. In the process of radiating me, a quantity of the beam was deflected into a full bladder - full because they wanted that to hold the prostate in a known position during radiation. The radiation hit all around inside my bladder. Radiated tissue is a horrible mess. Blood vessels don't know where to go anymore and in the end there was a lot of surface vessels just waiting to pop. And radiated tissue doesn't heal very well either.

If it was not for hyperbaric oxygen therapy, I would be stuck worrying about when the trouble would recur.

Next. Did the radiation fix the problem. No. PSA levels are rising slowly.

What else went away? Well as of some years ago, I can't remember when, I do not any longer feel the rush of orgasm. My body does because it goes through quite a lot of very deep orgasmic thrashing, but I usually sense a nerve blackout during the process. And lacking a functioning prostate I don't ejaculate much at all. No sense of fluid rushing out of me.

I will be happy to answer any questions.

Wow, what a story and thanks for sharing. So where are you at today? Are you training? Are you still trying to gain size. is there anything you can do to help in the healing of this tissue? What is the prognosis according to the doctor? Also, when you were having blood in the urine, are you saying this remained for 3 months? When you say 'thrashing' what do you mean. Sorry for all the questions.

Re: My experiences from 58 to 73

I am sorry that I missed these responses. I was expecting instant email notifications but none ever came!

Radiation cystitus causes constant bleeding in the bladder. The little veins open and in the most severe case cause blood clots that you can't pass, and then your bladder is blocked. A painful hospital procedure alternates pumping fluid through a 5 mm. catheter and then sucking it out. Went into hospital three times and spent the summer with a catheter of that size constantly in me, and a bag in my pocket. I thought I was going to be like this forever. But it turns out that "hyperbaric oxygen therapy" helps tissue to heal. A 10 week - I think it was - process, 5 days a week, placed inside a large clear acrylic tube and the air changed to pure oxygen. In for an hour IIRC. The urologist had a look immediately after treatment and said my bladder looked as if never radiated. Since that time scar tissue in my urethra has prevented further looking inside the bladder.

I am at 6 3/4" BPEL at the moment. Wish there was a way to gain more back. I am clamping at times, but DO NOT want to pull on my urethra ever again.

By thrashing I just mean the normal for some people involuntary body movements and noises. I found out that there is a word for the lack of feeling I am having. google Sexual anhedonia What is the case apparently that there are two directions and different pathways for the brain and sex organs to interact. It seems that the specific one going from my dick to my brain to dump dopamine is hardly working.

I can't figure out how to get instant notifications. If I click the place against a thread in the subscribed threads folder, and then reload the page the check mark disappears!

Yeah, that is part of the price you pay to use old software as we do but the benefit is the simplicity of the software and how little space it takes up. It does mean we need to do some things that take more time but the benefits beat it. We have been on the same software since we started and we continue to use it and expand on it.

Re: My experiences from 58 to 73

This story was all a little while ago, except for the sexual anhedonia which has come about sometime in the last few years.

I have been having sex continually except for that period with the catheter in me.

My main reason for relating all this is a warning to men who have had radiation for prostate cancer. There are more potential problems than anyone warned me about, and DO NOT put much tension on your dick/urethra, as it may give the problems I had.

DLD, I had to come back to the thread to see if anyone had posted. So still not happening.

That is odd as you have everything set up right now. Let me have LIGHTNING look at it to see if I missed something.
